Hi, hope someone can help. I'm about to put the tyres on my '75 mk2 mar. There are 3 holes in the rim, one for the tyre retainer, one for the valve and the other one??? I only took one retainer off so am stuck as to what the third is for, any suggestions? Cheers, Nigel.

Hi all - I am going to replace my old Amal on my '72 mk1 MAR and wondered if anyone could advise on the best make and settings. The current carb is a flange fitting 26mm. Look forward to any feedback. Thanks

  4. I'm restoring a TR77 from a box of bits and after cleaning up the crankcases I found cracks on both sides where the cylinder studs go in. Is this a common problem or have the studs been tightened up by a Gorilla with a 10 foot long wrench? Work to do :-(

I have a 2012 Explorer with the original air filter, which just I cleaned, and now can't get the sensor seated back into it. I even tried to heat up the rubber (w/blow dryer), but still can't get it pushed all of the way in. Any tricks? I spoke to Lewisport and they can't get the upgrade kit (2013+ with the top screw). I did get the secondary air filter, which is good as I am not sure I'll take this one off again ;-) Thanks!

Triggered by a discussion in the GasGas forum: on an Ossa TR the rpm measurement is available from the ECU (according to documentation standard on CH1). Might be really simple to use that signal and transfer it to a digital display? Probably not really useful ( ) but could be a nice gadget. Did anyone ever consider it?

Hi, recently bought a 2012 Explorer and have read a ton of posts, but have a few questions: What is the lowest tire pressure I can run? I read lotus54 put in a tubless system (I have this in my dirtbike). But, since this is a trials bike, I am wondering how low I can go w/o pinch flats... (The online manual seems to say about 7 & 10 PSI (.5/.6 bars) That seems a lot for the rear tire) What about initial suspension setup for trials riding? and then for trails? The manual doesn't seem to have anything on this at all. I know I need to experiment, but I really need a starting point for ~160lbs. Does the rear shock need a special tool or can I re-use someth…

Anyone else a bit dissapointed in the stock narrow and short bashplate? I think OSSA made it too small to save weight. My bike has seen a lot of riding abuse and I found mine has very much worn out a great deal of footpeg lower parts and frame, some serious dents on the suspension linkage too: Plus also I put on a flywheel weight that made my gear lever stick further out w/o protection, hence decided to get a wider and longer bash plate. Thankfully Mark (jkmr1) in this forum has made a laser-cut wider bashplate speciefically for OSSA for a very decent price and sent me one from OZ. Here's vs stock: And now covers up the exposed areas very good, ha…

Hi all, I was the one who started the "Yes or No" Thread...........Well I have ! Managed to get myself a lovely 2014 300i , Hoping for a little help off you guys....? The question is,,,,,As i'm still at the learning stage I want to fit a lanyard ( i have on my 315r) As the ossa has a (hold down) cold start using the original kill switch how do I wire the lanyard in ? in conjunction with the standard kill switch ? The problem is, if I replace the original kill switch with the lanyard there will be nothing to push to activate the cold start ? ps. im useless on electrics. Any s…

Is there an emissions sticker for these bikes? I couldn't see it anywhere... I have a 2012 Explorer, but I suspect that TR280i would have it in the same location. Thanks!

Help!!! I'm in the process of rebuilding the front wheel and am having problems respoking. I've done all of the inners and one set of the outers but the last set don't line up with the rim, they sit about an inch away from the rim. This is the side opposite the brake side. Can anyone explain where I've gone wrong? The only explanation I can think is that there is an offset, but there didn't seem to be one when I stripped the wheel. Cheers in anticipation, Nigel.

It's looking a bit ratty and I want to do a couple of things to the bike to make it more suitable to me.the frame is going to get a black powdercoat, the triples are getting black anodizing and i'll change the airbox cover for the new style vented one.I'm going to try and see if I can get a 2015 sticker set for it if it will fit the 2011 plastics.Might have to get a newer seat base and bendy rear fender. While the engine is out, another base gasket is going in to make it easier to kick thru.I doubt it will effect low end power, but I might lose top end.Never use all of it anyway.

My OSSA dealer gave me both stock 5-degree and an "experimental" 15-degree butterfly along with Btwice throttle body. Looks really interesting: 15-degree butterfly is oval with angled edges and thus starts from more off-angle position and regulates the air flow in a more "progressive" fashion vs stock. I wonder with TPS having larger starting angle yet the engine gets less air (= theorethically richer mixture on low-rpms as it gets more rapidly leaner when opening up the throttle) if it improves bottom end delivery as well? Anyone has Btwice throttle body and experimented with a 15 degree butterfly? Is it worth experimenting with different custom EFI maps or i…

Hi all! Just checking around if anybody has any news about Ossa. The rumour says they have moved into a new "factory (setting up a production line)". However no press releases or info/sign/rumours of a 2016 model is not that promising. They can't afford another no-sell year. /TJ

  20. I need some thinner steel wear disks for my OSSA 2013 factory 300 to get the thickness down for an easier clutch pull. If I can't find thinner plates for the OSSA clutch are they the same as a GASGAS clutch? If so what bike? I wanted one of those cool XIU adjustable rings but can not find them in stock anywhere. This leads me to another question would the XIU ring for the Gas Gas work in an OSSA? Tnx.
