Suzuki/Beamish

  1. Started by wilsonwash8,

Hello all. I am having a machinist friend to manufacture some replacement bushings for the RL 250 Suzuki. I picked up a sample of a new stock item and plan to have a set made from those specs. We are planning on using bronze stock to make them. I don't know what the cost is going to be, but I thought I'd see if anyone else needed a set. This is the same guy that is going to make an aluminum swingarm for the same bike for me.

hi everyone i now have my beamish 325, i got her started today. she started 3rd kick . now for the questions, the petrol tank(alloy) has a few dents in it, what would be the best way to remove them? also the threded collar that attaches the fuel tap to the tank is knackered, it looks to me to be a replacement tap job. any ideas where i can get a second hand one? thanks Ben

Something to test the twinshock fans I have a classic of British engineering the Beamish Suzuki (Yellow, tank black engine 1980) and find it a bit tall on the foot rest position. Does anyone have any experience of lowering the pegs, dimensions etc ? Thanks in advance

  8. Started by steve shakeshaft,

After looking around for a few weeks and seen the twin shock bikes needing restoration generally go for too much money I've decided to buy a pretty immaculate 250 Beamish. I "DO" intend to use rather than look at it. Is there an "authority" on these that anyone knows of that could check out some minor details for me that I "think" are non standard? I know the tail pipe is non standard but "sensible". But the rest of it I think is pretty pukka. I think its mainly decals that are a bit "iffy" (I think I have a source for these) and I thought it should have fork gaiters. A couple of small areas on the swingarm are getting thin on the chrome and showing the underlying N…
