  1. Over the years I have seen a decline in the entries to all Midland Centre Trials, at club and centre level...WHY !? I ask myself.

In the 90's you had 60 - 100 riders without fail at all trials, whether closed/road/club/Centre.

Get a National and 100 plus.

    What's the answer????? :wall:

With the interest shown this year I can see only one or two centre events taking place..........look at the Group Trial Series, pathetic!

  2. Yes and No, if you are used to big cc 2 Stoker's then maybe!!

The 250 Gssser would be a wise choice if you have never ridden a modern trials bike, but the 300 is NOT a handful so the choice is yours!!! on the other hand the 280 could be a handfull, it all depends on how you ride 'em. :icon_salut:

  3. I'm now going to have a moan at the lack of clubs entered in this weeks Bewdley MCC's Group Trial, only two Clubs have really bothered with a team and the other two have 3 and a single rider entered.

Thirteen clubs are registered to enter the series and just look at the effort...or not in this case.

The Midland Centre Group Trial series needs a mega kick up the butt as to be sure is going to die or is it already on its way!!

We used to get 70 - 100 riders easily a few years ago. ..................... Whats gone wrong? anyone got any ideas?

You can still enter on the day but thats not the idea of having a group trial series.

    I'll shut up now

  4. Owned one for 12 months, great build quality and suspension........top dollar, the best and brill on rocks. Very good handling but lacked in power, very soft and when revved hard would go but you had to work it, with only a 5 speed box you only really had 3 section gears.

The WR engine is ultra reliable but if they break.........mega bucks!? as all 4t's.

All in all a good clubmans bike.

Do not get one without a side pump, pre 08 as once set up right it wouldnt cough/stall etc, typical 4 stroke problem with a carb.

But in the end we have gone back to Gassers.

    Good Luck :D

  5. Bewdley MCC are running an evening series for beginners etc, the 1st one is on 10th June at Shatterford starting at 6.30pm, you are more than welcome to come along, there may well be a top class rider in attendance as well as top midland centre lads on hand to pass on their advice.

All details on TC + in TMX, also if you want anymore info please make contact.

  6. Just thought I would, and maybe on behalf of many riders, thank Lancs County MCC and Bootle SC for two cracking events over the w/end, never ridden up there before and hats off to you all for your efforts, especially the observers.

    Fortunatley the weather was perfect.............Brill!!

But I ache from head to toe.....LOL!

You have to see it to believe it, those pre 65/ twin shock riders are amazing.

  7. We can all blame everyone else, even the weather.

The point is, at any level your NOT a true sportsman if you do something like this, I would feel ashamed to read this.

The opportunity won't be there next time - lesson learnt by all, I hope!

  8. Thanks to some riders we had a difficult time in trying to read the finishing times on the punch cards as some rider/s were seen rubbing the time off the cards................Thanks !!

We also know who it was

  9. Since the UK master won his first championship, whether it be world or british, what ever mount he has been riding it sets the trend for most to follow. Beta had thier run in the late 90's and then Montesa for quite a few years and know Beta are back, maybe the latest product is a little, well ?????????????????????

Its great for the factories to have a top rider riding thier product, but just think how it would be if say Xispa, Scorpa and even the reborn Ossa have the same chance, these machines are more than capable in the right hands and it might set yet another new trend!!
