  1. I'm with Scorpa3, had gassers (7 or 8 of um) good bikes but you need to keep on top of them ie; air cleaner, make sure the carb is free from water etc etc..............

Have now had my scorpa sy for 2 years and as Pete says its a cracking clubmans bike..............Reliable.

Though I do fancy the 4t version as I used to ride Honda 4t back in the earfly 90's-RTL/TLR

End of the day its up to you.

    Jim

  2. WITH DEEP REGRET, BEWDLEY MCC HAS HAD TO CANCEL THE CLUB TRIAL AT PARK LANE ,CLEE HILL, SHROPS SCHEDULED FOR THE 14TH SEPT 08, DUE TO THE RECENT VERY WET WEATHER AND THE LAND OWNER WAS ALSO GETTING CONCERNED.

FUTURE EVENTS WILL BE POSTED ON TC IN THE NOT TO NEAR FUTURE.

  3. Just had an e-mail from South B'ham MC ref entries for their Midland Centre GT next sunday (13th)...............................Only 20 so far..............COME ON you lot, its at a cracking venue on the Clee Hills used in the past for the Vic Brit + A British Champs,

Look at the TMX and ring now for your entries or look at acu web-mid centre, they close on tuesday

  4. The mixture isn't right, its running too weak, 3.5 turns out as its a fuel screw not air.

Is it a uk bike? if this doesn't cure it then you need to re-jet it as its got the wrong one in, it may have the std ones it to get thro the emmisions.

  5. Yep, you have seen the light................Gassers are very, very good but anything bigger than the 250 are a handful if you are new to trials, I've had 8 gassers over the years, with no problems. Have now got an 03 scorpa and it does me fine, yep, the japs make a cracking motor with the scorpa combination....................................................................G

    REAT BIKE

  6. Lets hope the weather gets drier for Thursday 19th July, Beginners and Novice trial at Shatterford, nr Kidderminster, 6-30pm start. Ross Danby and Shaun Fox should be at hand to give out any tips and advice.

If there are any total beginners wanting to have a go,please please come along and have a go, let us know if you require one to one asap so we can cater for your needs. As long as you enjoy yourself thats all that matters!!!!!!!!

  7. I would have the GG, Beta's have electrical probs, ie cdi unit's, but then if its an 03 your looking at then I wouldnt have either unless you know the bike and previous owner, they need TLC, (as do all bikes).

Have you ever considered a Scorpa? They are bullet proof and as you are looking at an 03 ish then maybe the one?! Good luck with what ever you go for.

  8. I think you need to try and get it going without the top being stripped, see and hear wot it sounds like, get another guy or a handy spanner man to give you a 2nd opinion.

As Gasgas has said, Water will Knacker up the bearings, little end etc if left to long, ie rust to start forming

  9. It maybe TOOO late.......you need to take the head and barrel off and remove the drain plug, get some std engine oil and pour 1/2 pint into crank area, this will remove and water and crap, but this should have been done asap.Put the d/plug back in and fill again to the top and leave.Buy a new gasket set,

  10. Had 6 Gassers and as long as you look after them then ok, but there are lots of 'sheds' out there. Had a mont.......ummmm.........................ok, but only 5 gears and I had engine probs with mine regarding engine build quality after 2 months from new.Importer not interested. I love Gassers from new.

    I would go for a Scorpa, 02-
