  1. Whats your budget and are you looking towards a new one?
  2. I dont have an enduro bike and even if i did it would be too far away but what sort of prices are there?
  3. Reading on the oset website it says theres becoming a wide variety of aftermarket parts available and alot of bike parts to suit the oset. Has anyone got any websites that do oset aftermarket parts, or know of any parts that would suit the oset from bikes? I wouldnt mind fitting disc brakes and hydrolic levers onto the 12.5, is this at all possible?
  4. I have a dvd called around trials and theres a frenchman who still does it, think hes older than that too
  5. Sounds good, will be going either way anyways so will look forward to it I guess
  6. Should have read that before i posted. Its a real shame on the funding side. I think they should have dropped the stand prices down infront of the main stage so they had more there as there was only a few, and hiked the ticket price up abit.
  7. Im rather gutted to be honest, was really looking forward to visiting scotland again as i love the place, especially the nevis range its beutiful. Whats thus venue like compared to scotland, and in terms of making your wY around sections from previous experience? Why cant we have 2 rounds in the uk like spain do?
  8. I was stuck ontop of a rock so the upside down method wasnt very feasable. Glove worked first time although i burnt my hand as i didnt think to take my glove off and fo it, but many thanks to this thread as i remembered about it and learnt it from here, then tried kicking off once i got off from the rock and it still continued so pulled the cap up enough to stop the bike but not to remove the cap. I guess another method would be to just close the petrol valve as at full revs it wouldnt take long to empty the carb, although could still take a minute of your bike revving out
  9. I thought fort william was meant to have it for 3 years?
  10. Looks like i was lucky not to get zapped when i pulled the plug off reading other peoples replies
  11. Tried the gLove over exhaust wjen my bikes throttle stuck fuly open, nearly burnt my hand it was that hot. In a state of panic i kust pulled the spark plug cap off which i found easyer
  12. Yeah im going to have to invest in some boots, it just worries me at his age hell grow out of them within a few montgs as thats what hes like with his shoes and at 70 quid a pair they aint cheap.. Or can you get them cheaper
  13. I make it a game for him to wear his protection. I always ask what we need to do before he steps on his strider.. he always says knees, elbows, head, hands whilst pointing at them.. It does get abit fiddly trying to get all their little fingers in the right places but its worth it. I cant ride my bike without gloves (prob a personal preferance) so I figure its better for him to have some too
  14. What hjc helmet did you get? hjc cs-5n?
  15. Aldo flypigs, think im going to jyst use his fingerless cycle gloves, worth amention as they are quite good fit and offer good grip for my boys little hands
  16. Hey and thanks for the replies. Do you think the wulf is just small fitting or will all 54 be okay? Reason i ask is because i think the nau do an xs too and would prefer to have one with a clip rather than a buckle to be honest. Think im just going to go knee and elbow pads and maybe look towards boots when his feet grow a little bit more. Thanks again
  17. I put this here rather than in the trials gear section due to it aimed more towards oset sized children. I've took the plunge and ordered a 12.5 oset, will take delivery in a week and a half.. But now the hard part in sourcing the kit to protect him. I need to find a trials helmet small enough to fit on my 25 month old son's head. He is quite big for his age I would say, although I've yet to look at his bike helmet size I just want to know what helmets you guys use and the smallest fitting? My local dealer stocks wulf sport, and their smallest size is 54cm.. I think that may be a little too big, is there any smaller sizes such as xxs? As for armour, would you recomend a spine protector or tabard? my dealer said all it would do is limit his mobility, and considering he flys down hill on his strider I guess he'd be actually going alot less in terms of speed so not essential. Boots? can you even buy boots for a child so young? What about a neckroll or am I being too overly protective?
  18. I am inclined to buy a new one, it was what I wanted. I've never really thought of going second hand on something that he will use on an every day basis. the problem is he has just turned two, been ridign his strider since before he was 1. I've taken him to bmx tracks and he outdoes kids that are 5+ on his strider going down hills and such. only problem is the tires are foam so he gets alot of wobble due to them not absorbing the rubble. I'm in two minds whether to get him a specialized hotrock 12" because i think hes ready for pedals now and a proper bike.. with the hotrock costing 150, and the oset is 750 new ontop of the body armour and helmet i will need to pay for too its going to be over a grand before xmas which doesnt leave me alot of time to save up. heres a couple of videos of him on his bike. this is around 1.5 - 2 years as I havnt got any recently. Because of this dillema im thinking of selling my own trials bike to fund towards his own... hes so advanced I dont want to stop now or have him wait.. even it it means he may have to wait till february to get an oset, I think having a pedal bike now and taking him to more bmx's will benefit him more as he will only be riding on flat for the time being on an oset first anyways. Im taking him here at the weekend, its a new bmx course thats been build about an hour away from where I live. http://www.bmxtalk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=30653&start=20 What would you do being that you can only afford one up until xmas? Would you steer more towards the pedal bike first?
  19. To add to this question, is it worth buying a second hand one? Ive seen one for
  20. long enough for you not to care! depends what your doing, if just rocks and stuff a full tank will last ALL day, if blasting up and down hills then maybe top up once. i usually go out with a full tank and a full jerry can and come home with a full tank and most likely fuel in the can still.
  21. few hills Sorry for all the pics and vids, got abit carried away
  22. thought id help him get up that obsticle off roading!
