    my gears.

Also neutral is in between 1 & 2. Not a full shift but only half to get there
  2. I put front bolts on the used mole grips either side to pull the back up and get a bolt in with a bit of the nut on, you can just get enough without blocking the bolthole, did one side then other then tightened it up abit more, same on front then nipped them all up together
  3. the gap he jumps at 3:24 is unreal!
  4. Im thinking of going to watch this bit what us it like for viewing? Is it hard to actually see due to the amount of people or is it easy to get a good spot so you can view the action up close
  5. Thanks again for the tips. I drink alot of water but only from the tap i might start buying bottled
  6. Why get rid of my bike? I can handle it fine its just my arms aint used to it at the moment. Thanks ham ill try it tomorrow
  7. I was out today and my friend bent his handlebars quite badly flipping on a huge rock and another lad whos a plumber came up in his van, we used his blow torch and a socket on a extention bar to bend it back into a considerable position and quenched it with some water just so it didnt ruin his day so id well recomend a blow torch in the mix. Odd one but comes in handy
  8. First day back on bike since september as ive just finished rebuilding it and wow ive missed the fun and laughs! Only problem was i suffered major arm pump within the first half hour which meant i kept having to stop to rest and have ten minutes before i attempted any rocks or big banks. Is there any way you can train your forearm so you dont get arm pump so harshly? Im thinking one of thise sweeze things bit would that work as i dont know what muscles cause arm pump
  9. Well the engine was rebuilt just before I bought it and is pretty fit. I need a new airbox anyways, and rear mudguard so that only leaves me with forking out for a new tank, which i could do anyways as the one I have isnt that great.
  10. Cheers, think im just going to sort mine out and powdercoat it a unique colour
  11. Can you post a link i cant fine it please
  12. Well, My 05 frame is abent a little, and I can go through the issue of either straightening it, clearning it up and putting it back together, or getting a new one. While I'd see it as a huge loss getting another of the same frame, Can I not like say get an 07 frame? And if so, what else would I need to change in order for it all to fit?
  13. it only supports the rear mudguard so its no biggie about strength

    Bent My Frame

I've bent the t section on the rear on my sherco 05 when i fell off and flipped it. its bent upwards, the part that conntects the rear mudguard to the frame. is there any way i can just buy a new section, cut it off and weld it on. its seriously twisted and i fear forking out for a whole new frame
  15. Ive got one, average in weight but get pretty hot and sweaty at times
  16. I havnt really been practicing on this rock since I last posted. Been a tad busy and the only ride time I've got is with friends in a wood. I feel my stationary balance is getting alot better, I'm gonig to concentrate on using my back brake but i cant seem to get it right and everytime i use it the front wheel just comes down, even if I lean right back.. Maybe what I'm doing wrong is not snapping the clutch out to bring it back up again, I guess I'll just have to practice that first! Cheers for that video, Wish I could do half of what he does.
  17. HAHAAHHAHHH Yes it was That must have been monumental to watch, me and my friends couldnt stop laughing when reminded of it, me more so for such a prat I must have looked. I came off the stump at the top, my foot slipped off the back brake and i slipped and ended up in a sit down position with no brakes flying down a hill.. I thought I was going over the handlebars at the bottom or in the river but lucky i rode over that huge log and not into it. got cuts on my legs and bruises where my legs came into contact with my pegs a few times, but its all fun! Had a look at that log later on, never noticed it was there really. Looks kinda like this rock, only steeper falls on either side but with a bigger landing when jumping the gap. I feel I could ride up it and clear it without worry of going wonky and missing the landing, as theres plenty to land on... Only problem is my takeoff part only has about 2 inches either side of my tire width, maybe less and i feel if i load my suspension and my weight is off abit, my back wheel will just slip off the stump im riding up.
  18. 4th up hills always requires alot of momentum at the bottom to carry the speed up, 3rd just slip the clutch as your gongi up and dont rev the knackers off it.
  19. Alot of people swear by the michelin tyres
  20. I see kids all the time riding around on 125's that are way too big for them.. All they do is blast about up hills, better to get one with less power and a size that they can throw about and learn more from. its all good handling the power but if they cant do anything because the bikes twice their size and too heavy its just going to slow their learning curve until they grow enough to use it properly
  21. Been watching a few videos whilst im bored, really studying the way they work the bike and not just their body position... Maybe I should try doing it as albert starts on these rocks? Dropping my front wheel down first for a bounce instead of just wheelying from the start http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQMUjU-9uLE Also been watching how he does the jumps whilst stationary on the back wheel, noting hes keeping that front wheel down and the rear loaded just before takeoff, bringing the front wheel back up high again for the slap onto the rock. Cant wait for a few tries, the weather has beend dreadful and I'm itching to get back out
  22. Ill be doing alot of trials hopefully next year, maybe even the ssdt for the craic (doubt id be good enough to compete properly)
  23. Is that at charltons? Take it I wont be able to ride about up there on sunday then? Thanks for the extra comments people, been unable to get my bike out and practice due to the weather, hopefully be able to get out over the weekend!
  24. Go out and try a few, every bike is different, its been abused/looked after in differed ways, and its really about how you feel riding it really.
  25. Hes out of his prime now, with the likes of Toni Bou in the compertitions its pretty hard to keep up with the younger era
