hi mate good addvice from the other guys. like stated i would carfully sand the powdercoat back then with a block off wood or mallet as said slowley tap them in make sure you get them stright. as for the grease i use a water repellant red grese so it dosnt dry out and last ages. there pritty easy to fit just take your time dont rush. hope this helps you cheers bondy.

hi mate i was gonner come mate but i had alot on this weekend. is that 16ml 2 evrry litter? i use semi synthectic what oil are you useing? might do 12ml to a liter? when you going out again?

hi dom yes ill go back 2 50-1 and change the plug the plug is NGK bp5es wich is the corect plug. ive been useing ipone semi synthetic strawberry. i will drain the fule off and mix some fresh fuel at 50-1 with new plug the new piston as been run in know cheers.

hi guys i had my 199A runing spot on but when i try 2 start it first time from cold its been taking a good few kicks 2 start her up. once its started and warmed up she start first kick. so i took the plug out to find it had oiled up so ive try ajusting the bing carb thinking it was runing to rich. no change ive been runing it on 40-1 why the new piston as been run in i think it may be to rich so i think ill go back to what i used to 50-1 its not the timming thats spot on got big fat blue spark so do you think it will be the oil mix?

make sure you turn it clock wise to bottom it. then turn it antie clock wise 2 and half turns out. then go from here may need to turn the idle scerw in so it idles abit faster just to keep it runing. its pritty easy one you know. are you near livrpool? i would have had a look for you.

hi mate a good place to start is bottom the air screw then turn it 2 and a half turns out. then once the motor as warmed ajust the idle there really is no standard seting. its just trial and error.

hi the 199A gear box is the any spacers where gear box fits on the lay shaft?

sorry mate the M92 dosant have a headsteady. i thought you had a 199 should be stright forward. to be honest mate am only familiar withe the later bultacos never had the older modls. but there will be plentey on hear that can help you cheers bondy.

your beter off geting new ones ask dave or pete at bultaco uk they will put you right. have you got the corect sequence the bolt and nuts get torqued down? theres a way that the headsteady gose also make sure you dont over tighten. cheers bondy.

hi all has anybody tryed the fuel dimomd wich is on ebay sopose to stop the petrol going stale? if so dose it work?

sounds good to me i looked on there web theres no phone number. but i read you can just go on the day and pay. ive just got the 199a barrel back from rebore. ive just put the engin on the kitchen work top thought the wife would of gone made but eh she didnt bat a eye. so happy days nice and warm ive just put a new piston on do the rest tomorrow. hopfully should have the baby running thursday or friday. the motor was running strong last time only had a rebore. the motor has been rebuilt by last owner. so finnger crossed it gose ok.

hi all just rebilding the bottom and top end off my 199A the bottom end gasket is it wise to put alittel smear of grease on both sides or should i put it on just as it is?

cheers for the info dadof2 the bike is kept in a good dry place with good insullation under to thick covers. however it still can get cold so really i just wanner protect it from condensation. has for your info penno350 i may take you up on that sound a good day hope there nice and easy sections ive not done much trialing for somtime how can i just go on the day or do i have to join before hand?

hi all with the winter comming i was woundering off spraying the engin with grease. when i bought the bike there was a glue like grease on parts of the engin anybody any idea what is a good spray grease?

umm am not sure what to do just yet. am not in any rush as ive emptied the tank and ill just keep it runing with a axuillery bottle. wich ive made dont wanner pay £28 for a plastic bottle and a peice of ruber tubing. if you get my drifft.

cheers oily is it ok for plastic tanks? i was thinking of respraying me tank on my 199B but to be honest its not that bad. the last owner did a good job. its only got a frew verry small bubbels round the cap tryed some decals on it but bubbled so took them off .
