ha ha ha ..no I meant by THREAD..was all the involvement and talk by members about this one subject! I have been draining oil from this bold for months, no problem, just lean the bike over.....oil drains out in 15 minutes!.....no doubt there is still some oil inside, but I change quite often, so oil is quite clean .......here is photo

good thinking!....also, you can drain oil from bolt under the shifter....much easier!

WHAT ABOUT VISE GRIPS? well, you can still drain your oil using the drain bolt on side under the shifter[one with copper washer]

....................dude,,,first thing I 'd do before firing it up, is take spark plug out,and put small amount of oil in the hole ....kick the piston over few times, so the rings aren't scraping on bare metal!!!...............expect a bit of oily smoke first few minutes,...............massso, victoria bc
