A big thank you must go to the organisers and helpers at Richmond Motor Club, who should feel hugely proud of running a first class outstanding event. I'm already looking forward to next year. I don't think its much of a secret that Fujigas has expressed an interest in riding it next year. But Dougie will take some beating as his performance was breath taking. Mind you its not just about the top riders, its about all the riders from Clubman to experts and those willing to have a go that make this trial such a great event. Well done to you all.

Four robbery attempts in one night in one area of town, makes you wonder where the police are? It wouldn't be rocket science to mount police cars on the only 3 routes into Ingelby Barwick, looking out for vans driving around at night occuppied by burglars.
I know a few people who have bikes nicked in Cleveland, both times they themselves found out who had them, both times they phoned the police and both times they were told,
'what do you want us to do?'
On a more positive note, the police managed to catch me doing 35 miles an hour in a 30 zone, so they aren't all bad...........

Does anyone know when and where the indoor TdN is being held this year?
-
That' is really sad news. A really sound bloke and trials enthusiast.
Always there giving me encouragement on his section.
RIP
-
St Dunstan's is unquestionably a worthwhile cause. Not having trials on Remembrance Sunday is the very least we should do to respect those who have and continue to fight and die for this country.
-
Aye, ******* about in a war zone must be easy street compared to the harsh realities of life on Teesside.
Times are so tough on Teesside they are thinking of organising a time and observation trial with the money raised going towards local charities.
-
There's no point as I just won't be able to keep up with him.
I'll let you in on a secret......................
He has been training for two laps!
-
As a suggestion, I would wait to see who is the UK importer first
Saw one in the flesh (the only one?) in Andorra and it looks ok quality wise.
Your beginning to sound like a builder.
-
There's been a few Scott's when seeing the hole in the fence at the bottom of the start field has been difficult, so it just adds to all the fun.
Could be an overnight frost?
-
Nowt wrong with Teesside, Middlesbrough was voted worst place to live in the UK by Channel 4 so we must be doing something right.
-
There is a telly in a separate bar to the main function room.
Got my program today and the evening is paning out nicely. Watch the rugby 8.00 till 10.00. Occassionally popping into the auction, a man cannot have too many one piece suits. See England crowned World Rugby Champions followed by the prize giving ceremony and DJ Denzil as the Scott winner....
Evidently the telly room is used by club members when a function is on. I don't suppose they'll object to letting a few watch the rugby.
-
Good posting Army man. Without a shadow of doubt members of the armed forces are severely underpaid for the job and the hours they do, serving the nation.
-
I'm so confident that DJ is going to beat Doug Lampkin this year I will give
-
The 12 months punishing fitness regime that DJ has been following meticulously would put even the most hardy Special Forces veterans to shame.
I can reveal that DJ's factory prep 4RT has two map settings. Fujigas+ and Casey Stoner.
This boy will be flying.

I find it interesting as well, but probably from a different perspective then most.
I find it interesting that it is coming from the guy driving the train when it ended up so far off the tracks.
Find it hard to believe he would be so quick to critisize others efforts when you look at the record of what occured with him as commander.
The problem is not neccesarily the military commanders on the ground but the politicians back home with a totally different agenda.
-
I hope the Richmond Cricket Club have it on the telly, otherwise I won't be going to the Scott Prize Giving Ceremony and Auction till later.
-
For the last four years, but they have certainly picked the right time to get good....
Well done England
-
They're currently on sale in various shops / garages locally.
Cheers Perce,
I'm working at Catterick so I'll have a drive into Richmond for one.
-
Are the Scott Programmes for sale prior to the event and if so where?
-
Found this interesting.
Here

Some good valid points there Robin, and interesting the Ladies would find the Youth Sections too tough at the World Championship yet Laia rides the Junior Sections so she is way ahead of the rest.
Don't forget that Dougie was way ahead of the rest at his peak and now we have got Bou and Raga calling the shots with others playing catch up, maybe the Ladies need to raise their game to catch up with Laia.
And before anybody says..................yes she is a fully sponsored rider now, but the hard work and hours practicing was done well before this remember seeing her on Transworld Sport years ago on a Beta, saying she hoped one day to compete with the men at World Championship level?
Seems she achieved her ambition
Not really. She is competing at Junior Level not WTC level. Mind you its is still a fantastic achievement in itself.
-
Alas, poor DJ has only made the reserve list this year, but fingers crossed.
-
I'd have to go for Doug. If he can win it after 10 years I'm sure he can repeat it again this year. However I would expect Jarvis to be his main rival followed by Braybrook. Dibs is going to be up there as well.
-
Cubby,
i think having a 2 round women's WTC has if anything has devalued the championship, regardless of who has won it. The high quality of the women competing in trials today, deserve more than a just 2 or even 3 rounds to determine the championship.

I suppose the worry is Afghanistan will, if regained by the Taliban, become a further breeding ground for islamic extremist terrorists.
