Judging by the number of comments on these pages many do not find posting photos on tc an easy task.
I don't see how it can be any easier than it already is. It's at the bottom every time someone makes a post. Yes, there are storage limits on non-Supporters, but I don't have Zuckerberg's billions, millions, thousands or even hundreds to throw at resources.
If pictures could be posted very easily straight from the computer it would be much better to show how something has been made or repaired when asking for or giving advice.
Can't you do that now? I thought adding images was very straightforward.
The upside to using the same sections is the Yorkshire brigade don't have to fork out to watch eight rounds. Just pay for one and watch it eight times. The outcome is the same anyway.
I'm planning on making some big changes to TC this year and, as there's been a big upswing in forum traffic recently (maybe people finally realising Faecebook is a crock...) the forums will be first on my hit list. Advancements in functionality in the forums mean I can do more with them that I had to use other components for in the past.
First up will be a bit of a fresher look. Nothing drastic, but the enabler for other things.
Once that's done I plan on eradicating the member management system and making all registrations/logins etc via the forums themselves. The system was good in theory and has served its purpose, but never worked quite as well in real life as it did in my head.
I plan on bringing the Classifieds into the forums, but in a way that they do not disrupt the rest of the forums. This is partly to make things easier for users - single site/registration etc and partly to reduce my liabilities under upcoming GDPR legislation. The less personally identifiable information I hold, the better.
This is the biggie though - I plan on bringing the events calendar into the forums too. Clubs will be able to create their own individual calendars, but they will also roll up into one main master calendar. Adding an event won't require any seperate registration or permissions as is the case currently and adding an event will be as simple as making a forum post.
Dennis finished 147th, his son 152 and his daughter 233rd at this years SSDT. She went on to win the 2nd day of the Trial 2 Women of the USA world round. Pretty good trials year for the family.
From last year. We believe it's the first time a father, son and daughter ever competed in the same SSDT.
Andy – Who should we enquire to/Push as individuals regarding a 2019 UK indoor world event? Is it for the ACU to bid, or does it all sit with the FIM and promoter?
Dunno. Neil Crosswaite is behind Sheffield. Suspect promoter would want too much money. That's why Sheffield disappeared from the Championship previously. It does badly need a shake-up and refresh though.
I'm kinda with Cabby on this. Not into the Indoor stuff at all personally, but I'd say there are bigger questions need answered like how can it be a "World Championship" when five of the eight rounds are in France? Why have they shoe-horned Benoit Bincaz in as a fixed rider, to the detriment of far more capable riders, apart from the fact he's French? Why not Franz Kadlec or Iwan Roberts, Trial2 World Champ.
1) The series now has a promoter in 2Play who are responsible for everything so media coverage is nothing to do with the FIM as the topic title suggests.
2) From their media releases, the opening round was to be shown live in a number of countries with a highlights programme to follow. See https://www.x-trial.com/en/news/x-trial-vendee-live though I have no idea if that actually happened, which countries it was shown in and if that will be continued for future rounds, but you can contact them via their website to ask. They've been pretty fast in responding when I've had to contact them and their English is okay.
3) The topic was moved from General Trials Talk to World Championship because it relates to the Indoor World Championship so that is where it belongs, though I don't see why that matters. It's not like it was removed.
The trouble with forums like this is that completely ignorant and uninformed fools are free to write any inaccurate rubbish that they dream up or mis-understand and then repeat it as being fact.
And the upside to forums like this is that if someone writes inaccurate rubbish it can be removed. Try getting Faecebook to remove something...

I'm not sure if this is even funny, but it's certainly a reflection on modern society...
