  1. My son and I have been running this E3 plug for just one event so far. The bike seems to start a little easier and run a little smoother on the bottom end. We will update everyone as we get more experience with it, so far no negatives! Rich
  2. Scott, TEC-Cycles here is So. Cal has a great replacement break pedal that my son has been unable to break over the last year. It's just the right length and has a folding tip, and roller bearing mount. It's $145.00 but well worth the price. www.tec-cycles.com Regards, Rich
  3. E3 will offer a replacement plug for the 4 RT's conventional NGK later this year. I have used E3's in my car with improvement in fuel consumption, (and presumably better performance). The E3 uses multiple electrodes. "The E3 part number for the replacement plug will be E3.38. It will be available sometime in August of this year" according to Brad Davis with E3 Spark Plugs. http://www.e3sparkplugs.com/ Rich
  4. Here is the Honda 2009 Motorcycle Racing Plan for Trials, no mention of Laia being the team; http://world.honda.com/news/2009/c090127Mo...e-Racing-Plans/ ♦ FIM World Trials Championship Series For the FIM World Trials Championship Series (WCT), Honda will run two Montesa COTA 4RTs equipped with highly competitive 4-stroke engines. With riders Toni Bou, champion for the last two years, and Takahisa Fujinami, the only Japanese rider competing in the WCT, Honda aims to capture the rider
  5. It's over apparently; U.S. Trade Representative Won't Impose 100 Percent Tariffs On Certain European Motorcycles PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- The U.S. trade representative has decided against imposing any tariffs on certain motorcycles imported from Europe in a trade dispute over beef, the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) reports.
  6. Anyone know where the fuel filter is on the 4RT? Can it be replaced? There's no mention of one in the Service or Parts Manuals. Thanks, Rich
  7. It helps to flip the choke on and it acts as a rev limiter while you scramble to get it shut down...
  8. I'd try a new plug. Plugs can fail as the compression builds up under more throttle, but spark fine at idle. It's rare, but new plug is a quick and easy way to rule it out. Rich
  9. I had the wrong URL and changed it...
  10. El Trial was great. Not a huge turnout, but Bear Valley is a perfect location. Shaun Morris was amazing. Here's some video from the Bear Valley web site, scroll down a bit to find it; www.pinetree.net Rich
  11. Rumor has it that the FIM will make 4 strokes mandatory in the 2008 World Rounds, can anyone confirm this? If it's true, will we see 4t 125's from Sherco, GasGas & Beta any time soon? It's 6 months away and there's no talk about this, what gives? Curious in California
  12. You think Trials bikes are too expensive? Consider this for comparison. I walked into my local bicycle shop recently and noticed the high end Mountain bikes selling for $5K to $6k !! The performance of these bikes is totally dependant on YOUR level of fitness, and the differences between these and significantly cheaper models are measured in onces. Whether your fit or fat, if you can twist the throttle, a 4RT is way more fun for the money.
