Hi.sorry, i did mean the head spacer, its a 1mm spacer that i have fitted. I did have the low compression head insert fitted to start with but was advised that the 1mm head spacer was better and that it was inadvisable to fit both the head spacer and the low compression head at the same time. I have read another thread on here that seems to imply that someone has both fitted at the same time.

It was the weld had broken. Now welded up and refitted. Many thanks for your help

Had a problem with the gears on my Beta Rev 4t 2008 today. The gear change shaft just rotates up and down but nothing appears to be attached to it. .( it definitely isnt the lever just going around on the shaft) Fearing the worst on this one. Does anyone have any ideas Many thanks

Hi a few questions 1 - i am trying my freshen up my 2018 280rr. i am thinking of getting the frame powder coated and fitting some new decals. Would a set of 2020 decals fit (ie, is the frame the same for a 2018 and a 2020). 2 - has anyone used Amped decals as they are less than half the price of TRS ones. 3 - i have fitted the low compression head insert but didn't notice much difference, can i also fit a thicker head gasket or is it one or the other 4 - i want to change fork oil. I am 100kgs and already have the heaviest spring. Any suggestions on what grade fork oil to use and how much. many thanks for your help

Hi My nearly new TRS did exactly the same and it turned out to be the banjo fitting was leaking where the pipe goes into the Gearbox casing. New Dowty seal cured it.It was very difficult to see with mud and water etc about.

apologies, i wasn't very clear - there is some info on dropping a tooth on the front sprocket to tame them a bit but im unsure how that would be different from riding in a gear lower

i now realise that you can also get a thicker head gasket / spacer. can you fit this as well as the low compression head insert or is it one or the other ? Also, i generally ride everything in 2nd or 3rd gear. What would i gain by going one tooth down on the front sprocket that i couldnt achieve by just riding in 1st or 2nd ? thanks very much

Hi Fitted a low compression head insert to my 2018 280 RR to hopefully soften it a bit. are there any carb adjustments or anything else that i should do when changing to this low comp insert. Also, has anyone found a suitable replacement for the awful radiator filler plugs that round off so easily, Many thanks

How do people carry a drink with them on an event, I don't really want to carry a camelbak type thing but i get thirsty and i think it affects my concentration. Thanks

hi my 2018 trs 280 has no clutch. there is only a little fluid in the master cylinder. I assume the seals must have gone in the slave cylinder. Is this an easy job or could it be something else ? many thanks

Anyone have any ideas on the best way to clean out the silencer. It has a bit of oily soot in there but i dont want to use any liquids as i assume i would ruin the packing thanks

thanks very much for your help tried new plug and removed kill switch but no change. when you say 12 way connector thall1 i have a plug and socket with 6 wires in and 6 out . black - white i have open circuit yellow - yellow - 0.6 ohms red - blue - 15 ohms so its looking like the pick up is finished. anyone have any ideas of the best and cheapest solution ? many thanks for your help

hi could anyone tell me the minimum thickness for the clutch friction plates on a 2008 rev 4t. mine are 3mm but i cant find any information. i have done the clutch mod which although i have a much smoother action, it has not cured the sticking and it has a tendency for clutch slip. are any brands of oil particularly helpful ? any more help greatly appreciated many thanks

hi my rev 4t will start easily, will run for 10-15 minutes and tick over very nicely and then for some reason it will just cut out as if you have pressed the kill switch. there is plenty of fuel in it has anyone any ideas ? many thanks
