  1. Barry, yer **** dont feel it ever, like racing snakes me and Heath, you wait till you meet Dad, hopping, flick turns, hardly puts his foot down anywhere and over 50, amazing guy and lives for his trials

  2. You up for the 30th then Heath? really great place and miles of sections everywhere. Yer bit surprised when Barry did nt ride between us catchers, got to have been one of the best bike catches on record i think.

  3. 30th it is then, Ralph, Barry, Heath and crew,

Barry, me and Ralph get there at 7.30 - 8.00, hardly sleep the night before with excitement,

Ralph we doing the streams or the steps? streams would be good, Dad would come then and show us all up and we could have an ice cream at the ring of Rocks. Barry's going to love Ryans hill climb, and Coxy's Climb around the back. Just thought my bikes going to p*** up that hill now and i wont run out of fuel either

  4. Ralph, he wears size 35 boots mate, has to keep the straps undone as well!!!!!! Yer lots of wheels off the ground , you would have liked today, plenty of flick turn bits for you. That gap has got alot bigger since we went last, few years ago and the cliff heath went up does nt look nice at the bottom, he p****d it though, fair play

  5. Yer you must be pleased, Heath is good to ride with and it always helps riding with lots of other people, much more fun and you learn quicker. Will have a chat with our lot this week about Wales, hopefully next month, let the carnage begin

  6. Just cant beleive how Barry caught the ******* thing after it went over his head, would have done plenty of damage if he had nt though. Great day out with you lot, hope to do it soon again, will mail you the Wales location this week. Barry you keep doing what you are doing mate, one day soon it will all click together and you'll be really up there,

  7. Topless Tramperlining Richard, you fool, who was that then? Really good day today, great to meet Barry and Heath, and hes a better rider than he makes out on here. Barry had a couple of big uns, cant beleive he only started riding in February, looks more like a few years and will have a go at pretty much anything(That Heath tells him too)

Had a good really awkward root section that could'nt be cleaned, maybe next time we have a go up there, actually rode up the cliff but only once, its about 20 feet higher than my vertigo allows, but bottled the other cliff face Heath p****d up and Barry threw the bike over his head on. Bike was incredible, no pinking at all even up the steep climbs and instant response from the throttle, may take a week or so to get used to it now.

  8. Just been out for an hour on the bike after picking it up from BVM, just cannot beleive the difference the work has made. It absolutely rips now, instant power off the bottom off the throttle and clean all the way through. Not 100% sure what Steve did but it has worked better then I could have hoped for, bike has been transformed.

Put some 6 inch rise renthals on this morning which has helped hopping the front about and the extra width really helps with stability. Also stuck on the Raptor Titanium pegs which I would recommend to everyone, seems much easier to move the bike around and balance and I was amazed at how light they are. Will definatley save up to buy the hangers to go with them as both pegs and hangers are virtually indistructable.

Ralph, bike now runs on the main jet at last and no signs of pinking even doing a long wheelie, can see some big offs with it now trying to hang on to the bugger, you will be amazed at how it runs now, have to get your done next.

Looking forward to meeting Heath tomorrow at Killkenny, always nice to meet new riders and have a bit of a laugh, been a couple of years since I rode there and its a great place once in a while. Doubt I will be teaching you anything though Heath, possibly wheelieing, its about the only thing I'm good at and moaning about Mikuni's!. Although after the trying the bike this afternoon looks like I will be keeping my gob shut on that topic.

If anyone out there has running problems with their Beta, leaking fuel - popping plugs, bogging bad pinking get your carb in the post to BVM and let Steve work his magic on the bugger, the difference is staggering.

Going to aim for 9 am at Killkenny Heath, party tonight but I will drag me a*** out of bed ok.

  9. My Rev 3 has been at BVM this week having the carb problems sorted out by Steve, from what he said it is like a Completely different bike to when it came in on Monday. Missed my Thursday afternoon ride yesterday, first for months so I will be out on it all day Sunday and hopefully going up big climbs at last and saving me loads on Fuel and popped spark plugs. Wish I had taken it there to be sorted weeks ago, big thanks to Steve and BVM

  10. Warby, pretty much sums it up, just what I think, great bikes to ride and by far the best trials bikes in my opinion, but not to good on holding together and can be prone to the major breakdowns. Betas very reliable, hardly ever a major breakdown but not quite as nice to ride as the Gasser.

Chain pads? yer done two now and a tensioner arm, I can live with that and the few loose bolts. Sure I will be tempted back to a gasser in the next couple of years and deep down I know i will regret it

  11. Mackum, you ve got to be carefull on Ebay, its a great place to buy and sell but does have some real wrong ones using it. Surprised you bought off the guy in the first place as he must have had either a minus one feedback score or at the best one good sale and one bad. I buy from ebay quite alot and my business sells aprox 60% of its turnover using it, its a great way to buy and sell. Personally I would never buy from a new user or anyone with less than 20 feedback and they must have a 99% feedback score. There are lot of companies coming into ebay as they are realising how good it can be for sales, I recently saw and purchased from Sandifords.

I always take the attitude with Ebay that if something looks too good to be true, it usually will be

  12. Lewis, I ve had 8 gassers now, most were good bikes a couple a nightmare, one of which was resold after only having it 5 weeks from new. After trying a Beta the difference in build quality over the gasser is greater and the Betas dont tend to have major problems with them ie water pumps, clutches and gearboxes. Not all Gassers are like it but some are, non of my mates would ever buy one again after trying them in the past

  13. Yer give them all a go, the gasser is really nice to ride but thats not everything. Got no interest in the Mont at all, the Sherco feels really different to everything else and very low at the front end. Had a go on a Scorpa a few months ago and quite liked it, good power and felt light and easy to ride although the non flat bash plate had me off first time I sat it down on a log.
