  1. Thanks Kath!

I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone. Let's hope the weather holds, eh? Aiming to get over there lunchtime Saturday and get a couple of hours practise in before incinerating some lumps of dead cow and sinking a few tinnies.

'Weather change' for Friday, you'll find out Saturdays weather tommorow...hope its nice!

    See ya there folks!

  2. Now Montesa/Honda have made there new 4T, there WILL be problems as it is a whole new design, it will be a trial and error with this bike, I doubt they can get it right first time...

I think the Honda/HRC engineers might be a tad upset if you thinks its all trial and error

 They didnt get where they are today without some problems. Although you are right, HRC/Honda have MUCH experience in engines...

  3. I wonder if this new montesa 4t is going to be the same for anouther 7 years like the 315 was

I doubt it, the 315 was genrally the same for 7 years, but nothing needed fixing on it, and any problems were cured on the newer models.

  4. I see it will be very doubtful that the investors will pull out of Gas Gas, it cannot happen in my opinion.

GasGas have Adam Raga...who will take over Lampkin, putting GasGas even further on the top, GasGas also have the biggest range in trials bikes aswell as other sports.

GasGas will also get money from the GasGas/Hebo clothing range...the money is constant...perfect for investment, right?

In my opinion GasGas would be the least of the manufactures to be conserned with, although no one should name manufactures incase of starting yet more rumours.

  5. :D It'll be a tough job to 'trim' the sole, as you said, they are hard and will proberbly bust the boots, or you will be making a trip to your local A&E when whatever you used to cut it, slipped.

Hebo/Graene produce replacement soles for their boots...its a possibility that if the soles on your boots are removable, you could get a cobler to fit some trials soles.

...Much, much work though, and for what its worth, proberbly isnt worth it. Better to invest in some trials boots, theres a wide choice, and some cheap/expensive...Its well worth it!

  6. I have a Systems and Control (Electronic with added crap) on the 28th May...TC will be a lovely break after the exams.

Olly, keep in mind, no GCSE's...no job...no money...no trials. Go for the exams, they'll be other trials Im sure...

  7. After some serious persuasion and a*** kissing (not litrally) I finally managed to get my dad to make the long, long trek up to Yorkshire!

I will be bringing a mate along also (under Liam on here) he doesn't ride, but nevermind.

  8. In schools, in ICT and business studies, Im bored. I need entertainment, after looking at the same bicycle trials videos Ive seen millions of times, the bordom kicks in more so.

I cannot visit this forum as the word 'forum' has been banned, aswell as many, many other good sites.

    The question...

Does anyone know any trials websites that has videos, motorcycle specifically????

    Many Thanks,

    Mr. Tolley

  9. Call me old fashioned, but what about a simple cheque or money order to an address??

Thats how I deal on eBay all the time.

I agree, Im in school with no credit cards or cheques, and if I did it wouldn't have any money in it as I blow it all on drinks and going out.

Although, If I managed to keep some aside, I would be able to send it to Andy and he can send me what I require, cash in hand, no tax.

It would be much easier for myself, and maybe others. Although could be a problem for thoughs in other countrys, as Mr. Andy would have to convert the cash, maybe costing him more then the stickers.

As with cash, you will have 100%, wereas others (unsure??) such as PayPal might ask for a percentage of the money.

  10. Good point, it shows great difference on how popular trials is, and how it is celebrated compared to the UK.

Although, I'd imagine if someone from where I lived (hopefully me ) won anything to Raga's accomplishments, that it wouldn't go unadvertised, and you would be seen as a hero to most of the kids and adults.

I live were there is quiet a few (may not be famous to you lot) names in motorcycling, such as Kirean Clarke and Ron (and Leon) Haslem, and these names are well celebrated over here, with many people owning t-shirts, caps and other stuff along that line.

To say it is only a small town (very small) the names are known well, even by people not into motorcyling!
