  1. Hi Just got a 200 2016 done two trials on it now and love it always ridden Gas Gas before 200 or 225 so never had any experience of other Betas other the odd go after a trial but i am really impressed and seemed to get on with straight away, plenty of smooth power . When i stop searching  for the kick start on the other side  it will be even better !!!!

  3. post-32-0-86471200-1430421580_thumb.pngGot the engine it took a while as i had to arrange collection looks to be a 241 engine by the cutout rear engine mount .

I will now have a choice of a 241 or 301 in my 240 frame or should i be calling it 340 ?

  4. Hi hoping to buy a 241 fantic engine but the owner isn't sure which engine he has a 240 or 241. Is there an easy way to identity one from the other that i can explain over the phone? I have asked for the engine number will this help.

  5. Macctrial's club are running a Practise and set up day with Kev Hipwell . It will be on Saturday 7th June from 10:30 onwards, at a venue just outsdie of Macclesfield. 6. Was the last Gas gas model to have a black plastic tank the JTR 1996 or did they continue in to 1997 and the JTX ?

Tried the gas gas museum website but could not seem to find the amount of detail on models i have seen on there before ?

    Cheers

  7. Sorry for the delay -

Latest on the fantic 301/240 - As you mentioned above the lower frame has to be cut away to accept the bigger fly wheel of the 01 serious engines . I don't have any measurements but basically ground away ( with a angle grinder) just under half of the lower tube over a length of about 10 or 12cm and then welded in a plate to reinforce it. I kept trying the engine in to see how much need taking away till the engine fitted in nicely plus a bit of clearance room .

Next problem is the exhaust from the 301 wont fit in so need to get some advice on that but looks as if i need to cut it and add a bit in?

I still have the 240 yokes on but need to get either the 200 yokes or i might try the 301 yokes i have but the roller bearing are a different inner diameter so need to get down to may local bearing shop ones the holidays are over.

Still need a few bits but getting there i think ! Big thanks to Lee Harris and Richard Allen for some top advice .Will get some pictures out soon.

  8. Thanks for all your replies we where really after something a bit more like a duffel bag, a bit smaller than the paper bag. The ones we use now are just right but they have only lasted about 2 years and are now rotting so we could do with similar type but made from the paper back material. I will keep searching.
