It is quite simple BS, the use of petrolium products may soften and deteriorate the rubber. The tire may not meet its designed 10 year life cycle if this happens!
On the other hand, I have heard that if you paint the tire with the mint sauce it will give you better grip on the rocks!

Purely out of quriousity, if they ran the series purely on the loop scores, what would totals be?
-
I've got it!
Andy, does this mean anything to you?
The number 284 is given over to 'THE UNKNOWN MUNROIST.' There is a full explanation of this in the 1983 SMC Journal (p.389), but as many will find this difficult to access the brief story is that this number, the same as the total number of Munros (and therefore until recently 276!), is assigned to those who 'are deliberate non-reporters, others who refuse to compleat their final Munro and still others, equally obtuse but more metaphysical, who claim that they don't know that they have already compleated..' In others words, number 284 is allocated to all those dissidents. For other reasons, the count at one point might well have ceased at 665; instead it is left unfilled. (See Revelation, xiii,1

OOOOps, nevermind!
Info is up on the RYP site too!
Andy is still a common turd!

Got me qurious so I looked up the BelRay site. Looks as though it should be fine as I was hoping, It IS made for the application!
The thinner the oil, the quicker the clutch action, but the difference should be naught between 75 and 80 i would think.
Cheers,
ps-to confuse you further, Ijust found this on the US Sherco site! Wonder if it applies to Beta, I would think so!
Oil types and levels for the 2006 trials models Paioli front forks

Maybe that is why I could not find it!
Good SPYING Peter,
Now Andy can relax! He was not overlooked!
-
Observations,
1- They must have kept the bloody half link in the chain, cause the adjuster starts off on the half point! If you are gonna do that, make some proper cams to go with it! PLEASE!
2- The fat bars appear to be of lower rise, like the Renthals, not good if you prefer the taller bars? Who makes them? NIL as I can find! Add risers, maybe?
3- The swingarm appears to be rough finished on the sides, good or bad? I guess you can polish it with 80 grit paper if it gets damaged! Note bevel on right side!
4- Back to the shorter pipe, eh?
5- Wonder if the shocker works? this time around?
For the most, good stuff!

You bunch of danglers, you ar too cheap to buy my laser engraved CFM swingies at 25 quids!

Who is Mike Jagger? And why is the stone rolling?

WARNING! DUDE!
These high VI ratings are not always for this application! There are very different VI ratings, basically you need an oil that is designed to work with the CLUTCH, not the gears, and the heavy gear oils will not do that!
Either but the proper oil from your dealer from a motorcycle oil mfg. like IPONE, REPSOL, MAXIMA, etc. or use something like Dextron III or 10-30 motor oil if you are really cheap. Your Honda or Yam shop has something that works if nothing else! Ask them!
Those thick oils will not work well withyour clutch!
For example, the Maxima 75MTF is a different VI scale than 75-90 hypoid gear lube, the latter being twice as thick ov viscosity!

I think you may find that in a common US Pro event there may be several sections with big walls, undercuts and splatters that would be beyond the 125 ability to do. That is one reason Pat and Cody had to move up to the big bikes. They are both big boys as well which makes matters worse. The 2.5's can do it though. I'm sure Craig can ask Pat's opinion on this to confirm, or Ross can go try some 2-3 meter walls with a short run just to see. I recall a 2 meter undercut ledge with 1 meter downhill run and no kicker in OK last year!
It would get anyones attention!
Typically Dan B. has the rental bikes around TTC that you could drop the 125 motor into and I am sure you would be more than welcome to. The lodge is available, at what price I do not know, you should ask him.
The TTC National event usually comes around first part of April, before it gets too hot! So school is an issue as well.
Hope that gives you something to go on, bring Alexz as well!

The bowl vent tube on the right side may be pinched or blocked. I had to drill through the left(blank) nipple to let it vent properly as the hose was pinched shut on mine due to close quarters with muffler. Fuel cannot flow properly if this happens. ( Yes, remove it again so you can clean and air dry bowl after drilling passage)It creates a negative pressure in the bowl that cannot be overcome.
Be sure these tubes are short as fuel in them acts to block air pressure equalization in the bowl as well. That is what happens to the stock Dellorto as well and why the tubes are most often removed. However I will tell you that I prefer the short hoses even on the dellorto to prevent contamination.
As there is no "L" outlet on these Keihin vents, hoses are neccessary to prevent dirt and water entry into the bowl area. Otherwise you would contaminate it every time you wash the bike!
Many folks wonder how dirt gets into the carbs, past the fuel filters to block their pilot jets, now you know!
Hope that helps!

Nice thing about aSherco is, you can change the graphics. Custom ones are available, unlike other "red" bikes!
