  1. Look up the BPS website and have a look at the shocks on there. They are not an established well know brand yet..... BUt, many good twinshock and pre 65 riders in France and Spain use them, with only good reports filtering back.
  2. During the spring and summer months here in sunny South West France, I need to commute around fifteen miles on a regular daily basis. Now have been looking adding another Majesty to the stable, the scooter not the trials iron or perhaps to wake the neighbours up in the morning, a Classic Enduro ie. PE or IT . Having trawled the internet, it would seem they are not too readily avaliable. So my question... do they ever come up for sale ( In the uk ) if so what you d you expect to pay for one, I would prefer a 250 or above, in ready to ride condition. Classic enduros seem to be heading the same way as twinshock trials here in France so might even have a pop at one or two of these also. I know from reading the posts on Trials central several contributors, do have classic enduros so any advice would be greatly welcome. Thanks very much

    Betor Shocks

I have a set of B.P.S shocks on my majesty, they were new on when I purchased the bike. They work really well and I am very pleased. I understand they are widely used in France and Spain by a lot of riders on a variety of bikes, and a leading well know rider had a lot of input in their developement. Have no idea on the technical side but have a look at the web site. www.bps-eng.com
  5. I decided to buy a Majesty and was lucky enough to find one of the last of the chromed Godden framed models. It had lain in a Paris Yamaha dealership for the last fifteen to twenty years after doing less than 500 miles and not too many trials. The price was Euros 4000, which at the time I thought was too much , but I paid up and got it home. Did I in fact pay over the odds ... Don t know ... Whether it increases in value who knows, who cares. An enjoyable investment .............
  6. Thanks for the info, its a 320 and it was in fact the condenser that let me down. Its now a confidence thing and if I only gain reliability I would be happy, It does seem though, a positive step. I understand there is a source in England producing them but a few niggles are yet to ironed out. I may try Craig Mawlam as I met him at a trial in France in September. Will ponder, leave the flywheel in situ and wait till they become avaliable.
  7. I understand it is possible to up grade to electronic ignition. What is the general feeling with regards this mod ie. Price, avaliability and performance enhancement and above all reliability. Also I have, I presume the standard flywheel weight, I would like a little more sharpness on the pick up . Without discarding completely what is best considered weight or size. Any help would be greatly recieved as recently traveled many many miles to a trial, only to fail at the first section with electric problems , was so peeved I nearly bought a Honda.......
  8. HI Apparently, I am led to believe that bike racks are not strickly legal in France and even Spain. Having said that I have only ever been stopped on the M 25 in Blighty. I have used mine quite a lot here and have never had more than a curious glance from the Gendarmarie.... The chances of being stopped in a vehicle with british plates is minimal although speed cameras are starting to catch on this side of the channel .... Youve been warned..........
  9. HI just started trials again after a six year break. Thought I would try twin shocks on a majesty, like the range of topics and look forward to adding my two Euros worth.. Yours feet up ( Hopefully ) Frenchie
