Slow Leak After Installing New Tire
I did clean everything yesterday, the rim and the band which are both in excellent condition. I did only use the tire lube stuff that you normally use on the edge of the tire itself but not succes, it is still loosing air trough the spokes. Haggis1: That Sikaflex stuff is like a silicone sealant? I did a search and find it's a brand name so can you tell me which product you are using exactly? I would be giving it a try. Can it be found on this page: http://www.sikaindustry.com/ipd-transoem-sealing ? Thanks.

Slow Leak After Installing New Tire
It’s been twice on 2 different almost brand new Sherco that I change the rear tire and get a slow leak after the work is done. I put some water on the wheel and see it’s slowly leaking air trough the bases of many spokes… The internal rubber band seems in good condition, the rim is clean, I don’t get it… Is there a trick when installing a new rear tubeless tire so you don’t face this problem ? I would like to avoid having to install a tube in it. Thanks. Hugo

West Coast Championship Series
Steve, Back in 2001 I remember we were a couple of canadian riders going to NY (Cayuta) to ride 2 US national rounds (NATC). Theses 2 rounds were also part of the NAMU championship. These was an agreement with the CMA and AMA in which you had to be member of either one of the association to enter the events. So I entered both events as a CMA member only. Then there was NAMU rounds in Ontario and I believe and the same concept applied. Hugo

Dellorto Vhst 26mm Carb
ILovetrials: I had fitted a Keihin on a 2.9 ’04 in the past, now would be interested in trying this VHST on a 2.9 ’06. Just need to find someone that sells them. How would you distinguish the old ‘problematic’ models to the new, ‘improved’ ones ? Is the part# different ?

Trials Global Map
As recently posted on the mctrials mailing list, someone started a map for observed trials. This can be useful to get in touch with people riding trials in your area or in an area you plan to visit. Also possible to list events/sites. It uses google map's engine so not every country is available but see for yourself: http://www.frappr.com/observedtrials .

Pics Out Of 05 Model
True, the big headlight is not very nice but it's part of the "street homologation kit" so the regular Sherco will have the slim headlight, as usual. That's what I read on todotrial anyway,...

Front Fork Adjustments On 2.9 '04?
I've recently purchased a 2.9 2004. Love it so far... I was surprised to see those blue caps on top of the fork tubes are effectively just... caps. I thought that the fork would have compression and extension adjustment as my older trials had but nope... Then by reading the companion maintenance poster I learned thoses caps should be unscrewed every 5 hours of riding to relieve the air pressure. What is the concept behind that? The fork compresses air and once in a while you must "reset" it ? Are there any suspension adjusters that I don't see ?

Fork Dent, What To Do ?
OK guys, thanks for all the replies, I finally filled the spot with a kit of Wurth epoxy I had on hand (which becomes very hard). Then sanded with a 1500 paper. Barely can feel it with my fingers & slides freely in the seal. I have an event to ride this weekend so we'll see how it goes...

Fork Dent, What To Do ?
Well so far it is not leaking and does not seems to interfere with the regular movement, I am just guessing the seal will deteriorate quicker because of this sharp little spot. If I bust the seal in the next hours of use then I'll consider trying to repair first than change the tube if it fails. Anyone already bought a new tube? what price range are we talking about?

Fork Dent, What To Do ?
Got my new Sherco, did'nt take time to get myself a set of fork protectors and what needed not to happen happened... dropped the bike on a sharp rock and dented on of the inner tubes of my fork. The seal is not leaking but I am wondering if I should try to reduce the sharpness of the dent or if I should not touch it. I suspect there is some kind of treatment on the fork so that it should not be sanded/filed... Any experience?

Gas Gas Stickers
Any GasGas dealer should be able to order them for you.

Filter Oil
The No-Toil brand is working great for me. It's not messy when it's time to wash it and you can flush it in the drain without "polluting". It works better with the soap it comes with but I tried with regular laundry powder soap and it works OK too.

Upgrading Front Brakes
I currently ride a GG 320 1997 with a 2-piston front brake (which is the stock setup). I wish to upgrade it for something more performant. After shopping around it seems I have the choice of: - AJP 4-piston (cheapest) - Galfer 4-piston (more expensive) - Gas Gas 4-piston (from the more recent models, what year would fit?, price?) And that brings the questions: will I be able to keep the same master cylinder/lever assembly? Will I be able to re-use the same line and fitting? If anyone has a recommendation on that topic, let me know. Hugo
