right,dug it out & it measures 38mm long(1"1/2),the inner diametre is 25mm and the outer 20mm if that helps

what do you want the length?I can dig mine out from the back of the garage and measure it for you later in the week

been busy today stripping the 2nd eng to rob the crank,ive noticed a difference in the cranks to my eng and my mates,my eng number being 51m his 51h(later eng maybe?)has anybody got the procedure to set the timeing up,pics would be nice allso the points gap?another fault ive found is the kickstart shaft has punched a hole in the magneto caseing,I remember this happening on my last monty is there a cure for it? pic of difference in crank

no other damage as far as I can see,ile see how it goes when its all back together

all stripped,heres the reason why below:( ,thats 1 down 3 to go,got 4 engines hopeing to make 2 good ones out of the 4 for mine and my mates,got the gasket set on order(millers)ive never had any trouble with monty frames maybe I dont ride them as hard as you lot any ideas on why the crank went?

looking again at my hubs again the front matches the rear but the front rim does not have the lip that the rear has(rim change maybe?)mine also does not have matching frame and eng numbers is this normal?there not that far apart eng is 00312 frame is 00270

had it out today for a few hours to see how she goes and what problems need sorting,front forks seals are u/s,forks feel a bit soft,bent a rear shock,proberly bottomed out as they look like the original shocks fitted new,bent a lever,missfire under load but enjoyed myself as thats what its all about,whats the best shocks to fit?seen some betor ones for half decent price,whats the best length?,the spacer mod for the front springs does that make much of a difference?missfire under load plug maybe although it looks new,finally clutch is draging,does not release fully,other than that the motor feels quite fit

hi,just joined your forum so go easy on me ive just treated myself to a 72 model bultaco sherpa 91 model I believe,is this the slimline model?it all appears original apart from the black frame but will restore it back to its original spec when I get my montesa 348 up and running(also got a couple of ossa mars,70&74 model&fantic section in bits)back to the bulto,whats the recomended spark plug&gap and petrol mix on fully synth,hoping to get it out this weekend up charltons,heres a few pics
