  1. I have just bought a KT 250 and a Suzuki Beamish from an Ebayer. The highest bidder had let him down so he emailed me to see if I was still interested. I had to ship my van to the UK and then pick up the bikes. Over a 1000 mile round trip. Well worth it as the bikes were as described and the seller was a great bloke. I spoke to the seller and his wife and knew that the deal would be OK. Buying from trials riders seems to be alright but you must use your own intuition to get the feel of the deal. Feedback very important, check what the seller has been buying and selling, but voice to voice contact should tell you to be careful or to go ahead. Never go ahead if you are not sure about the deal. I buy and sell cars, motorcycles and boats on ebay. There are some real scamsters out there. Buyer beware. My feedback is still 100% after 6 years of trading but honesty and good description of the goods goes a long way to help the buyer.
  2. I liked my Bultaco 1972 and really enjoyed my KT250 even it was just for its reliability. The 03 GasGas 250 pro is great to ride but after 50 years of riding my 4RT is going to take a lot of beating.
  3. Having started in the motor trade in 1963 with 8 other pals from school the dangers of unleaded petrol is all too apparent. We would all be in our 60's now but two of us have died of leukemia(linked to unleade fuel), four have varying degrees of Parkinsons Disease(linked to garages/unleaded fuel) and two of us who are left watching each other to see who gets what first. Heed the advice keep away from unleaded. Don't wash your bike down or your chain with it unless you have gloves and able to avoid the fumes. This stuff is lethal. But the average person totally disregards 'Petrol'. Smoking when filling their cars etc. Riding trials bikes and lots of clean air keeps you fit and healthy. But in my case kn****rs your knees.
  4. I had a Kt 250 in the 70's. It was a great bike but much to heavy to do trials with. There were however many different mods on the market to make the Kt competitive. My Kt was mainly used as a trail bike and covered many miles. Always started instantly and was incredibly reliable. I liked the Kt so much that I've still got one and it sits in the garage with the Gasgas 250 pro and the 06 Monty 4Rt.
  5. Using Elf HTX 740 is the answer. On the Gasgas 250 Pro 03 I always put an 'O' ring on the clutch lever to keep the clutch disengaged when bike is not used for long periods. This works. But clutch on Monty always clears from cold with the Elf oil.
  6. Signed both. If ramblers have the right to walk we should have the right to ride. In new Zealand trail walkers actually wave and talk to you instead of putting branches in front of you to make you fall off.
