Having recently ridden the hafran rally and in my mind an incredible event with amazing scenery and a fantastic way to spend a day. I thought I'd put it to the TC community to suggest amazing must do trials. Rate them on variation of terrain and scenery along with the nature of the event.
Change springs (Saunders has heavier springs) I changed front on my rev3. 16.9 stones an pebbles. stopped weight pitching forwards so quickly in a turn and made front feel lighter over logs and such. No springs available for back end of rev or I'd change them.
Regarding leading/trailing edge. Road racing 4 leading shoe brakes need the leading edge sanding down as they get too grabby. Also I use narrower shoes in my BSA road bike for more power as they cover a lot of braking area and it works for me.
Found this whilst looking for some footage of the superenduro event. Not trials specific but I think most will appreciate the skill and determination shown in this video.
Reading with interest. Promoting bikes is a difficult one to those that drive cars. How many drivers on the road can't change a wheel or check there oil or fluids?
When I tell friends and colleagues about my bike riding they all say they'd like to try it. I've even got spare bikes to lend em. 2 friends tried it, just at some practice ground. They fell off and promptly got banned by there lady folk for hanging round with me and motorcycles. They didn't even get hurt.
I'd like to see the clubs advertise an event a bit more widespread. Local papers an such. Reach a new audience.

Any bike is a good start as long as its not too big. Go for the best condition you can afford and you'll have a great time. I ride a beta so I'm biased but give it a go and you'll wonder why you didn't start years ago!
Bvm Stroud are doing a test day but maybe a bit far for you?
Got a tiger cub project I'm working on and need some shocks as the njb fitted are too soft and tired. Problem is that nobody answers the phone. I've tried Robin on numerous occasions and have got nothing.
A friend suggested Rockshocks so I called them. Nothing. I've tried at different times of day too.
I'd like to buy British but them betors will get the job done!!
