Ah, thanks 👍.. A new friend of mine..Andrew,a member on here was kind enough to bring a few of his bikes up to ride. My nephew and son rode his gas gas. 250 , and a gasgas 270, while Andrew rode his Montesa four stroke. I played a little bit. Then screwed up my knee.. figgers. He also has a Yamaha ty250 .. but we didn't ride it. But I liked it's looks.. Andrew was a super nice guy!! I did get to ride his Montesa around my yard and barn. Wow! Awesome machine!! But. I've realized, my age and weight.. and limitations.. I'll mostly just plunk around in my woods. And yes, I need some type of seat.. Just something to catch myself, if my knee's give out .. Realized..yes ,,I'm old and stiff.. So.. I think a classic old skool twin shock, will do me just fine.. probably be more Abel than I'll ever be. Huge thanks to Andrew.

There might be the possibility, of a trade deal coming up... I'll wind up with a TY175 .. 74' model I believe.. I like the looks of the twin shock classics, and those tiny little seats.. Give this fat man a place to rest. Ha. Just saw a picture of a TY with modern forks and a disk brake. Yes.. watching the classic trials videos on YouTube.. Those bikes are really neat.

Heck ? After watching the you tube review ..on trial tube.. Danny..says it's a very good bike. Well... Just found out that the TRS also can be ordered with electric start.

Now I have to look up what a Drayton is.. Amazing how much I don't know....

Called the gas gas dealer in Missouri.. Super nice guy.. asking about parts availability.. He said they had lots of parts old stock.. Looking like I'll be able to keep it going. Thanks guys

As far as mechanical abilities.. I'm not terrible.. I did replace the roller bearings in my hay baler.. But I'm also not good at it either.. I can get it done. But my son is a mercury marine mechanic.. hes good at it😁.

Interesting.. everything about trials.. bikes and the people , are interesting. Some of these older twin shock bikes are as old as me.. how in the world do you guys find parts to keep them going ? Just wondering about? Say I found an older gas gas ? (1999) A 270 to be exact.. will I be able to get parts ? Someone told me it would be difficult.. but, then I see these old classics restored.. They are beautiful 😍 what's strange to me is... Why do I have an opinion? I know what looks/ style of bike I like. I like the looks of the gas gas bikes.. We'll, truthfully.. they all look basically the same to me. Maybe it's because I like to say "Gas Gas" ..?? How dumb is that ? We both know , you and I .. That all I'll ever do is putt putt around the woods and my yard Maybe I'll learn a few things. And get better..hope so.?
