I’ve just checked the spark and it’s great, it sometimes starts and dies or backfires

Hi all, looking for some help please. Bike running and starting fine yesterday and became gradually more difficult to start. It would almost catch then bubble and fart or backfire. Sometimes would start on full throttle. Spark looked a little weak but I was outside. Stripped the carb today, changed the plug started ok ish but better after being tipped on its side. Any ideas appreciated.

Hi All I have posted this once before, however it seems to have dissapeared!!! Can anyone tell me the advantage of changing the rear sprocket on a Rev50 from the current 53 tooth to one with less teeth. The current one is worn and needs replacing and 1st gear is very short. I wondered if changing it would make this gear a bit more useable. Any help or experience gratefully accepted.

Beta Rev 3 270. 2002 with 2006 black and silver plastics and stickers, distinctive black front mudguard. Gear lever spring is broken, black renthal bar pad. Domino grips with orange bar ends 2. Beta Rev 50 childs trials bike. 2002. Red and yellow, distinctive white stickers on the forks. wispa piston sticker on the left front sub-frame. Bar end on clutch side only These bikes were unfortunately uninsured and whilst I just see mine as a lump of metal my 8 year old son is devastated at the loss. If anyone can post this information to any other clubs and events I would really appreciate it. I will happily provide a reward of

Hi All I have read in many posts, the need to drain and clean the carb after use. I have also read that there have been many problems with the Mikuni carb, which I do not experience. I have no starting problems hot or cold, uphill or down dale. Do I leave things alone or follow the suggestions here if so, how do I go about draining and cleaning the carb. Many thanks Ian

I have just changed the gearbox oil on my rev 3 and it is quite noisy in neutral. Seems a lot quieter when in gear. It was fine beforehand, Is this normal? Any help appreciated.

What are these like to fit? Are they difficult?
