  1. If the occasional drip you mentioned comes from below the water pump, more than likely you do have a leaky water pump seal. There is a small drip port on the bottom of the head, behind the water pump, which lets any coolant that leaks past the seal to drip out, rather than mix in with the engine oil. I had to replace the seal (which is also the same as from a KTM RFS engine, and is commonly stocked at KTM shops), and also the impeller shaft, as it had severe wear at the sealing surface. I went through the same problem with mine, and none of the so called Beta 4T experts here in the states could diagnose it before I tore it apart. Hope this helps!

    Beta Suspension

I've read it all. Sounds like several folks need to worry less about their suspension. If anything, all it needs is minor adjustments to suit each individual... Unless the rider is above the target weight of which the bike sprung for, of course.

    Beta Suspension

BillyT, are you still in the North Texas area? I welcome you to try my new bike, and compare it to several others in the area.

    Beta Suspension

You guys are thinking about this stuff too much. The EVO suspension gets better every year. Several owners of brand new Shercos and Gassers have all agreed the suspension on my '12 Beta is better than their bikes. And they thought the same thing about my '11, also.
  6. If the fuel filter is occasionally going dry, I would think there is an issue with the vent at the gas cap. Pay close attention to the vent hose itself. Blow into it to if it is flowing freely. When the EVO first came out, my vent tube once got kinked up underneath that plastic shroud that bolts to the side of the fuel tank. Apparently once when I stuffed the hose in there it somehow got kinked and tangled up among the clutch/front brake lines and the throttle cable. As soon as I detached it from the cap, the bike ran fine. Might be worth looking at. Hope this helps!
  7. Mine is just like the one in the top picture. Hopefully I can get my hands on a guard like that one. Great information, thanks again for all of your help!
  8. Many Thanks! I guess my only concern now is whether this will work with my application. After looking online, it appears that there are two versions of this pipe, which are shaped slightly different from one another. I have my fingers crossed!

    TTT/Arrow guard

Does anyone produce a carbon fiber guard specifically for the TTT/Arrow 2T front pipe? I thought I'd seen one online once upon a time. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  10. ... and last year we could only afford to send a TDN team consisting of three men and two women. Thats embarrassing. I have only been involved with trials for about 4 years, and come from a racing background. It amazes me to no end the lack of promotion for all events, whether it be at the local, state, or national level. Point is, to make a world round truly successful and draw a good turnout, the sport needs to be promoted better at all levels to generate increasing interest and create a stronger fan base. Riders here on their own have to discover the sport of trials, which is well hidden. Instead, proper promotion should be utilized to garner their attention and PULL riders in.
  11. Convince a promoter like Eric Peronnard that the sport of trials could generate revenue, and trials will start to reach the masses in the US. Until then, we will have a national series that remains stagnant, with pros occasionally recieving a purse thats less than I've won at some pitbike races. What a shame. The idea of a trialscross race aimed towards pro/upper expert riders sounds awesome. Nothing against the women riders, but there are very few worth watching on an endurocross course. The one that the media was relentlessly pumping up for the Guthrie round was downright painful to watch, even when wearing her ISDE skunk helmet.
  12. Sid paid the podium both days.
  13. When/where is this event in Arkansas? Any links or info is much appreciated.
  14. Does anyone have any experience with the 125 Evo? How does it compare to the the gas gas or sherco?
