  1. Hi i had a 09 evo with the frame mod done and i had to have a new swing arm under warrenty as the original one cracked!! You can tell the frame mod as there are gussets round the fuel cap and on the under side behind the head set. As for the swing are the only thing that was different is the stand mounting, its right underneath by the dog arm mounts where as the old one was just mounted on the bottom of the swing arm. My original swing arm cracked in two places where the dog arm mounts are so keep a eye out!! Hope this helps.
  2. Hi its part number 8 float valve comp* Lampkins will give you the number to phone for carb bits he doesn't stock any spairs for the carbs, ive heard a couple of cases where the rear caliper cracks but doest leak so check for cracks if you strip the brake, that might be the problem. You should be able to blag a new one under warrenty!!
  3. Hi i had the problem with the rear brake, the piston and seals are too gooder fit there for not allowing the pistons to return. Buy a new seal kit and you will need some fine grade emery cloth and evenally sand the inside of the seal away just enough to allow the piston to slide in and out easier. I had to do this about two months ago to mine and its never been so good!! As for the engine mine kept cutting out and bogging down at low revs, I replaced the little jet in the card that is attached to the floats. The little rubber end gets stuck shut there for not allowing fuel to pass through they are

    Evo Rear Brake

Cheers i will try that but im pritty sure thats not the problem the lever moves fine and there is abuot a inch of free play. The pads just dont move away from the disk, when riding the bikeand the disk and pads get hot the amount of free play in the lever decreases, when it cools down the free play comes back. A chap who i trial with had the same problem and tried replacing the hose at a cost of

    Evo Rear Brake

Hi any one else having problems with the rear brake mine keeps locking on, i have replaced seals and pads and even had a new master cylinder on it and still no joy. Any one else witht the same problem??
  6. Hi had my evo for about 10 months and havent had the same problem as you with the mudgurard bolts but had one wiht the two bolts that hold the sub frame on where the air box and exhaust is. I helecoiled mine and they are better than new so you should be ok with the mud guard bolts. I have heard of a couple of people having some problems with the evo frame so keep your eyes pealed. As for the vents ont the mudguard go to www.saundersextremesprots.com he sells loads of stuff for the evo including stickers to cover the vents hope this helps:)
  7. Hi i got mine insured with Corral Nash third party fire and theft on a off road policy only though hope this helps good look:)
  8. Hi not long sold my sherco 250, i run mine on a premix of 75ml of two stroke to 5 ltrs of fuel. You will need to put 450ml of gear box oil in, i used light weight gear oil and changed it every 2/3 rides. I would make sure you grease the dog arm bearings up really well as they will squeak other wise!!! Also i used to put a bit of gaffa tape where the rear mud guard meat up with the air box i found the stopped a lot of the krap getting into the air box. Other than that nothing else really to mention you should be fine:)
  9. Hi I got a Evo 250 and put 70ml of two stroke oil in to 5leters of fuel.
  10. Hi there it is a messy job, but you have to bleed it through the banjo. Strange i know but that's how its done, bleed it as though you were bleeding a brake but instead o cracking the bleed nipple you have to crack the banjo. Just make sure you have a rag near by to soak up all the fluid. try BVM moto for spares 01453 762743 they should be able to supply all your parts hope this helps:) Dean
  11. hi i got the 250, make sure you lock tight the air box, back two mud guard and the rear sub frame bolts up or they will shake loose and come out trust me!!!!! Just keep a eye on all the bolts at first, I check the whole bike after a trial after loosing several lol I have changed the seals on mine after the bike was 2 months old they were shot, nut its a easy job to do. keep a eye on the rear brake too i had my master cylinder replaced under warranty only last week, the brake went realy dull i changed the pads n seals but no good, its fine now though. hope it goes well
  12. Hi check out www.saundersextremesports.co.uk for all the trick bits for the evo they have got loads of stuff on there including the rad cap cover!
