Evo Rad Filler Neck, Any Broken Ones Yet?

Featured Replies

Just curious if the location of the rad neck on the 09s have led to any broken ones?

No filler necks broken but seen and heard of other problems. Wheel bearings collapsing, frame broken, electrical problems. I wanted to buy one but there have been a lot of reports of problems with these bikes in my area. I really like the quality of the fittings ect but they seem to be getting let down by reliability issues. I'm hoping the second generation will be better.

Wow aren't you a downer. I have never heard of any of those problems in this area. Maybe you should move to Vancouver. I hear Beta send us better quality then your area.

I know it bummed me out aswell. The problems were also random so I couldn't blame the rider. I will look at the 2010's to see if similar probs develop, I hope not.

the frount exhaust pipe of some of them had to be recalled, most of them leak oil onto the engine casing.

my mate fixed his with silicon sealant though

still problems with leaky fuel.....but they are a lovely bike to ride.

show me a trials bike that doesn't have ANY problems.

Ive not broken one, but then again, I dont own one.....

seriously though ive not seen any broken ones, but I did see a nifty carbon looky-likey protector at ESTC 2-day trial. and one for the coil (or is it the CDI thats showing? cant remember!), I asked the guy about it but cant remember where he said it was from.

personally, it does stick out a bit, but I wouldnt be worried about it, you would have to be damn unlucky for it to get snapped off, probably just as unlucky to get a big stone break your rad.

All the best

the front exhaust pipe of some of them had to be recalled, by who? and who told you this?

most of them leak oil onto the engine casing.

Bit like this sweeping generalisation. Utter garbage if you ask me.

Had one since January, never had any problems. Also must say that the importer is very good. Nothing wrong with the evo.

Had one since january not had any of the above problems.

Any chance of an evaluation /nige-rating of your Evo,especially in comparison to your 4rt ?
