Wow, that felt good to put a story in the left hand column. Here's the TC home page report.
-
Working out details for a possible trip to Japan in June. I just emailed Andy to see about some 411 on the event. It's a 13 hour flight from Chicago. France doesn't seen doable, way to close to the AMA/NATC opener.
-
I'm waiting for some quotes from Patrick. He's got school classes to go to. Still, I know, I'm slow on reporting Pat's big weekend. Truthfully, I'm still stunned.
-
Hey Bent's, you applied for those Smage adoption papers yet?
-
Same here Ian, and I've got high speed. I went looking at the photographs instead. Nice one of Pat and Ross on the podium!
-
2005 - Duluth - Cody Webb, 3rd place.
-
This just goes to show you, it's not the machine, it's the MAN!!!!!
Opps, or woman. Sorry ladies.
-
Looking at the line score, Patrick and Ross were tied going into the last section. Ross cleaned it, Patrick took a five. Aahhh darn and that was his only five of the day.
-
Patrick and Ross are a bit closer this first loop.
-
You guys have seen Borat too many times.
-
I bet Patrick's kicking himself good for those back to back fives on the second loop - sections 9 and 10.
Well done Patrick and Noel. Mark, let's you and I toast one right now, I'm going to the fridge and grabbing a cold one. 15 championship points his first time out, woo-hoo.
-
Did some renegade central american terrorist group hijack loop two results? All they had to do is ask and we would've given them Jake instead.
-
Thanks ND. I'm starting to think Alexz could ride a moped and win.
-
Where'd you hear this ND? That would mean the youth's are in. It's still not posted on the FIM site.
-

All this talk of lawlessness. Gee, I wish Bingo and I could've made it down for a little weekend of fun in the sun.
-
-
Hey, that's my new bike. Or not. Hope you didn't take it to Texas with you looking like that?
-
I get your point Brian. Get ready, we'll be down to TTC this weekend. Still, here's just our example for this past off-season. We traveled to compete in Oklahoma (Octobertest) in October, Ohio (with Trials Inc) in November and California (ATA, still waiting for my second place trophy) in December. We did our best to make it to events, even though the miles were so great between home and the venue.

While most of the commenters have gone on various rants about trials in the US, I'll pitch in my two cents. What's wrong with trials in the USA?
Well, first off, I believe we start late. What do I mean? Look at the UK'ers. They're already having events. And lot's of them. Every weekend there seems to be a big trials with quality competition.
When's the last event we've had here in the states? It's been about a month with FTA's 'Fun in the Sun'. The clubs in the cold climates don't hold trials in the winter and early spring because of the weather. But that doesn't stop the UK'ers'. Heck no, they compete in the snow.
I know, speaking for the clubs I ride with, WOTA, UMTA and Nitro, holding events in the summer and getting 50 riders is a challenge, why bother in the winter, right? So, what's the answer folks. Would starting earlier in the year and having events snow or shine help?
-
Gee, what can I say? Welcome back Bingo. Heidy sez hi.
-
This is about as far as the other side I could find. Can anyone tell me why the british media - or shall I say paparazzi are in Chicago covering the Lord Conrad Black trial?
Why is this guy a big deal, other than being a billion dollar media mogul crook?
And how are they going to find a jury of 12 peers? The only other billionaire I know like him in Chicago is Oprah.
Oh, and speaking of paparazzi, I'm told no one got a photo of him entering or leaving the federal courthouse. Maybe I gotta go down there today and show the brits how it's done?

Sure looks that way. News reports say Knigher has a wrecked hand and flew back to Isle of Man for repairs. Sure is a bummer to have such a great track record and come to the largest off-road series and struggle as he is so far. Kudos to Whibley on his excellent performance.

If Alan's not going, disregard the cabin 5 warning.!
