  1. For those who liked TC's coverage of EnduroCross on TC, thanks guys!
  2. One more via the Florin's. USA Team Scorpa minder and rider - father and son team of Bill and Will Ibsen.
  3. I'm more than trials. But I still stir the pot whatever I do. Here's a anything goes. If you've ever followed Chicago politics, you've heard the stories. Vote early, vote often. Dead people vote. They're all true. I've been covering politics for as long as I can remember. Today one of our major news outlets used me as a reporter for my district. You can browse all my stories I posted if you choose, but I hope you enjoy the news they gave me today. Notice in the photo, I never leave home without my dog. (That's for you Andy!) Meet Craig.
  4. You're right. The class name in itself, isn't a proper title. But that's what the 'powers that be' voted to call it. You're also right, none of these 'Pro' riders can make a 'living wage' while competing in trials. They're one good crash away from the unemployment line. There's no pension plan, no insurance policies, yet plenty of risk involved. If this were any other business, OSHA would have shut down the plant years ago. On the other side of the coin, I'm guessing most of the half dozen riders like it for the status, the dealers think it cool to say they have a 'Pro rider', and I know Patrick Smage is proud to sport the plate on his bike.
  5. Whew, spear me why don't you guys. I didn't say, for sure, I was just going from a press release posted on which bikes he would ride. Was this a on-road or off-road event? Still, I'm not surprised either way on a 125 or 300, the kid is absolutely amazing.
  6. I'm not so sure he rode the 125. I thought I read somewhere that he'll only use the 125 in the Junior World Championship. Anyway, what a nice ride it was from the score. Here.
  7. Hear-Hear. A couple of months ago, I ventured some 5000 miles to ride a local ATA southern California event. Both Lane and Bingo were a no show. What's up with that?
  8. What was I thinking? Bingo's right - I should have put that topic on the front page.
  9. That's why Honda's the best. Who else would send a postcard?
  10. Normie and I had nothng to do with this. Phillip did all by himself. Phillip is practically the inventor of SnowSk8ing - a pioneer of sorts. Kinda like you and observed trials. (Sorry Mich, I just couldn't help it, that one slipped out.) FYI: He won the x-games gold in 2005, missed out in '06.
  11. The details are a bit raw at the moment - but word from the X-Games is, Phillip Smage has set a couple of world records in the SnowSkate events. Needless to say, the family is very proud of you. If you're not whooping it up too much in Aspen and reading this Phillip - call home. Mom's (Northern Normie) waiting to hear from ya. World Record #2
  12. After two rounds, not only has Tony Bou won, he's won in convincing fashion. Looking at the scores, no-one's been even close. Outside of injury, is Bou going to run away with this year's title? Can Tony Bou be stopped?
  13. Ian, Endurocross the brand, as a event in itself, it's loaded with major sponsors and hype. It's a full fledged money-maker mate. KTM, rules the roost with a full team of Pro riders, the other big three send the pro GNCC/Dessert/off-road teams. The fact it's a tight, insanely designed course, with a anything can happen finish, keeps the current pro motocrossers away. Like Mich said, which manufacturer would want to be send out RC, James or Chad, and by chance get beat by Nick.
  14. You mean I'm not in Lane's World. Oops, wrong turn.
  15. MPM, Sorry to be so harsh this morning, I woke up in a bad mood. Seems I checked the mailbox last night and my local unethical politician running for re-election used my mug to promote his campaign. This mailer went to 55,000 residents in the ward, a couple dozen who informed me about my Alderman's use of my my image While some of you may find this funny, I do not. For those who are bored and want to spend a few hours looking at the inner workings of a currupt city, I have a little blog of my own that for sure is going to get me shot one day. Once again, sorry to be a ----, I'll let Bingo fill in the blank. Now back to trials.
  16. I just recieved the press release Andy. If you haven't, I'll send it over.
  17. As we all like to be the 'scooper', it's no fun to get world event news in the forums. Can't you guys wait until Andy posts this *information* on the front page? *Even thou all it's going to be is a 'hard to read' press release. It's better than Bou 5, Raga 15 and Fajardo 28.* Back to the lurking mode.
  18. Jack, that's a tough one, let's try this. How about everyone post their single favorite photograph they had taken last year. Rules: 1.) Any competition event, (local, national, or world). A actual competition photograph. 2.) A brief discription of the rider, event. 3.) What made the photograph special enough to enter. Oh, and title the photo. I'll start. I've taken so many photographs (over 2000), it was real hard for to me to choose. This one was taken in December at the now infamous ATA trials in Ridgecrest California. It was really cold, super windy and a quick storm blew through the dry desert. This is Cody Webb just reaching for the top of a boulder - at the exact spot a rainbow disappeared behind his helmet. I've captured rainbows, and I've captured riders, but I've never caught a shot like that before. I call this one Cody "Rainbow Rider" Webb. Bonus - Unfortunately Cody didn't make this attempt, he scored a five.
  19. Bingo said.....>"Yeah, if you like high maintenance women!" I do!
  20. A few Last Man Standing public relations photos. The last one, what's the Last Man Standing without the dude who tosses his wheels into the air. Logan Price let's it fly. Photos by: Simon Cudby
  21. Wayne Braybrook was the only other true finisher. I got the same press release that ran in enduro news and some photos to publish. But the darn thing needs 30 minutes of editing and you posted it here - so I'll give it a pass unless Andy wants it on the homepage.
  22. Personally, my feeling is, if you're not competing against the top 10 by 20, you might as well pack it in. Why add a couple of years to the program?
