ahh why didnt you say you had fixed her on site in your original post? there is a 3m product which is probably the best on the market at the moment,i know my mate has used it on diggers dumpers tractors etc with no bother,not sure of the name,some sort of epoxy i guess though! better than jb weld and all the others apparently

sorted now! didnt know about the spacers,not sure which way round i got em? but i went out to the garage1 stared stared some more and then,realized the only way was to drop the wheel in from the top...doh,went in stright away,but i dont know what way round i have the spacers,but everythings turning freely,and the chain seems to be inline!

unless i havent tapped the bearings home far enough! seems a bloody tight fit! have another look at it in the mornin,plenty of room between the pads! maybe just need another pair of hands?

ive just replaces my rear wheel bearings! any tips on gettin the rear wheel back in! given up till tomorrow!

could be a crank seal if its oiling the plug! check the compression!

you would think when they can manufacture mx plastic for a lot less than oem,someone in the far east could come up with trials plastics,after all its just 2 pieces really on each bike,not 4 or 5! and one front mudgaurd could do all!

just got a new rear gaurd for me 06 beta 55 quid? why so bloody pricey? anyone know anywhere you can get plastics cheap? surely cant be 55 quid for a rear mudgaurd?

std plug cap,with the little screw top removed from the plug yip! i think its the fuel starvation problem,only did it when flat in 6th gear for a while! was fine once you started to ride in the trail

well i messed about with the plug cap everytime,dunno if this was the problem or not though,it semed to be sorta on sorta off! kill switch has never worked since i got the bike

was out for a while saturday on my beta,the road to where we ride is about 2 miles long so its flat out all the way! no problems going but coming home the bike cut out several times? dunno if this is anything to do with carb float bowl thing or not? anyone had any probs with a plug cap jumpin off? funny notion thats what was doin it! although my mate swerved into a puddle in front of me and send a wave up over my head,lot of water completely drowned me and the bike,the fooker

has anyone just taken the hump and left the bike backto the dealer and said wtf is going on,fix it for free?

spray some easy start all over the carb,inlet rubber etc,this will tell you if theres any tiny leaks that you might not spot,if the bike revs up a little when you spray it on youve got a leak! handy tip! no charge

try on in your local dealer for size,then if he cant compete with the online price,then buy online!i know dealers have more overheads etc,but im sure if you talk nicely and mention a few online prices then he wil still want your valuable business and back down and give a few quid off!

well ive owned betas now for a few years!thre ok parts wise etc! was actually told by a dealer here who deals in all makes to avoid 2001 on model gas gas,build quality not great! probably allright for the top guys who can afford to maintain em. for your first bike you want something nice and solid,personally i think the beta is a little more solidy built than most,its a little heavier i think? but that is probably why theve always felt solid!

sounds more like an electrical problem? if its feeling like its running lean when its hot,might be a stator failure?

depends what sorta ridin ur doing? tight technical or more open stuff i suppose
