  1. Things we know about a Conservative government

[3] It has a vision Putting the importance back into the family unit is one that is always at the heart of conservative government thinking.

This again is their problem its pretty much it.

I say again they are all as bad as one another, my buisness has prospered under this government particularily these last two years, but would I want either of them in charge? I just don't see anything the tories say that can make me think they will do any better. You seem to struggle too.

the fiscal may have been good under the tories but many other things weren't, which is why they got voted out. And please lets not mention major next to family values, big mistake!!

  2. So whats your solution ?

The tories have a real problem which is why their conference was all doom and gloom.

I feel sorry for them as there big chance to prove how they could be an alternative to the the present government say two years ago has almost been scuppered by the gigantic debt the country is in due to the banking bail out and recession. Can they turn anything around in 5 years as they will no doubt win the next election?

In some ways they should walk away now as there hands are tied and the taxes we will have to pay and the cuts in services will mean that any idea that they can do any good will be spoiled.

Apart from the fact that they are no different as far as expenses are concerned. I've no time for any of them, to be honest.

My solution? Go to work earn a few bob pay some tax send my kids to school in the hope that when I am old enough to retire (65 lab 66 tories?) theres enough in the pot for me to play with the bikes and fettle in the warm sunset etc etc.

  3. There was still some development going on as late as Feb of "85. Some new ideas and some borrowed tech. Mostly for the Pursang. The Sherpa had not changed much except for shock and swing arm mods. Maybe some borrowed tech. could have helped them through rough times and into the future?

Think the only developments in '85 were comerfords surely. Where is Dave/Colin when you want him.

  4. i have a 4rt fitted with programmable throttle does any one know how i can alter or change settings i have just bought bike and dont have instructions or does any one know where i can get them or download em ta ian

lap top, lead, disc and a knowledge of chipping.

  5. Is that the case for all 2009 Shercos from the start of the model year, or just the ones that were heavily discounted by BVM and Appleyard from the middle of this year ? All the 2009 290's had the new spec motor and suspension ?

New spec is not so much new as different. Might not be better either?

  6. If you read the original post, Wales is fine and have always put on bloody good trials year in year out, and have aways been fair with their marking, with well informed observers.

Just one more thing,, correct me if i,am wrong but i think the ACU fourm was held on the same weekend as the British youth championships in Northumberland where most people with an interest in the youth championships would have been.

So Alan were you at the round in Northumberland or at the ACU Forum?

  7. Before we all go off on one as both Baldilocks and myself earlier in the thread have pointed out the obvious, where the IOW is.

It is always going to be hard on these lads to the same extent that Gary mac (and many others) must have had returning to FW last sunday night.

My thoughts are that if you get a round, it may well be that someone on the committee has said "gosden and Stay deserve a chance to have a round on the IOW by gum chaps they travel a bit don't you know", which may have meant you got it. Then having procduced a good trial, I have seen it, and a superb and liked by all the only schoolboy indoor its carried on as a fixture on the calendar.

My guess now is that had you applied you would have one less round to return from.

I am sympathetic as having lived in the south all my life pretty much the journey south can be torturous at times, and then you have 200 miles more than me.

There is no answer to it as when they are adults as now very few southern clubs apply to host any championships, untill maybe 2014 when I hear they may well be a great event on the IOW?

Perhaps if you could drop a round or two that would help? I am thinking a point raised at the forum, this can be done by e mail and post unless I'm mistaken, may have helped you difficulties?
