  1. Biff:

Here in Canada the van is labelled a Transit Connect, If you send me your email I will send you some pics. I built a small bike wheel chalk that bolts into the frame after I removed the two tie down hooks that come standard. It easily holds 3 bikes, one on each side pointed forward, and the third in backwards. It rides and pulls remarkably well with three bikes in it! Tested in June as we drove the Sea to Sky Hwy to Squamish attending a trial there.

    Steve

I stand corrected Steve. the 1.6L ecoboost is available for the Canada market transit connect.

    PS PM you my address

  2. I have a brand new Transit Connect turbo here accross the pond, and its brilliant. I can easily fit 3 bikes in mine and all the gear etc.

I think you have a transit and not the connect. We dont sell the turbo connect here in us or canada. I like them both and wholly cow they hold their value.

Yes a connect can fit two trials bikes. I have used my gasgas and the ms scorpa for some capacity tests recently here in dearborn. If you get the touch screen you dont know me.

  3. Ha good one. Several years back a rider of an old bsa in our club asked for some fuel. Initially I said sure! Then I hesitated and said wait it's two stroke. He said no problem it will work. He then proceeded to pull some plugs from the engine of his truck. I asked what he was doing and he indicated that when it fouled a plug he would just swap one of these in. He say an it makes the truck run funny for a few miles but they will clean up...

  4. As an enthusiastic Brexitter I feel Morgan Freeman's comment is appropriate "I find I'm so excited that I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head.

Litterally only read this topic just to see what he would say. Seems that its just a status update....

Thanks for making the pound a bit weak for a bit. We have parts on the way now....

  5. Sooo looking at the expert scores in comparison to the ES scores on Sunday i can't seem to pinpoint which ES sections rode EX if any. I also heard from Quinns minder and it was just too tough. He indicated that he was surprised the twinshockers could make it around the loop.

  6. Ahrma is not very progressive, and sees trials as a thorn in it`s side. That was why we started Mountain West Vintage Trials.

Yet AHRMA continues to have trials year after. I agree that AHRMA could use a class adjustment. What's great about AHRMA is that it exposes different riders from different disciplines to the sport of trials and trials riders to other sports. What stinks about AHRMA is lack of class diversityband expansion along with the cost. If itsa could organize the other disciplines with the passion they have for trials then it would be ideal but it's not that way. There is no best case here and calling one worse than the other doesn't do either one any good. Hope both the AHRMA and ITSA riders have fun in their events.

  7. ben you have an issue for sure. but by touch other than the fan not running you wont be able to tell....

jump your fan switch with a piece of wire as a fist step and please dont touch those hot bits more. we dont want to see you hurt.

  8. ive been riding over 30 years and have had many of bikes and i personally love this transmission. doesnt shift hreat but its super ingenious in its workings. that feeling is because it is a two speed rear end with no synchro.

  9. Watched it last night on prime... Now i know that the three amigos version was scripted but it wast forced. American top gear is scripted and predictable. This new top gear is more of the same. Its sad but it appears that if this version continues it will just be more slapstick dribble...

My pick for American top gear if it ever gets redone is

    1. Leno (cause natural car guy)

    2. Danny Diveto (cause just an odd ball)

    3. Anthony Bordain (cause he can paint a very clarson like picture without forcing it down your throat)

I might get shot for my recommendation but that would be my humble opinion.

If you were to recast UK top gear who would you pick?

  10. I use ODI Ruffian grips with bar ends. I apply 3M Super 77 on the bar and grip. Then I wire them at the outside and inside to keep dirt from migrating under when i fall. Not if I fall just when.

  11. What did you think of the TRS compared to your GG? (or do you mean you rode Stu's GG in FLA?)

I rode his TRS. I liked it a lot. Felt like my gasgas but smoother. I didn't put it through the paces too hard but i think i would like a little more pop. Gearing was also different being a 5 speed. In Tennessee we got the whole sales pitch from Jim Snell and many of the things on the bike were done with thought. My first observation was that rear fender and how high it humps up but its explained as to why its like that. I am not going to run out and change but when the time comes its high on my list.

  12. Yes it was a bit sureal being at ttc with no rain. the traction was amazing which isnt usually the case. it didnt take much for you to lose a place ir two with dumb mistakes. all in all it was a fun weekend with not a lot of humidity.

  13. So some breaking news here. Martina and I were on our second loop and Pat come mxing by us on section four obviously on his second loop as well. He had a clean of course and right behind him was and out of breath frexia. later we show up to section ten and were told that frexias minder did some rock moving and it cost him a five. these two will no doubt finish before we do.

off for loop three and more dumb dabs.

  14. yep we made it. we were both inconsistent as heck but we survived inscathed.

roper jr was putts minder. its was a really good event. nothing impossible for any class and it didnt scare the wits out of you. pat had an awesome first day but a screwup on the last loop second day threw it away. it wasone of those every dab counts sorta days.

  15. Oh dear.... Yea well once she gets to see the fun she might turn around. Here are some talking points:

    1. if i crash its very very slow

    2. yamaha made a ton of genrric parts back then so its cheap

    3. i have no idea who this biff guy is. dont believe what you see on the Internet.

    4. vintage bikes appreciate with age and trophies. so this is a positive thing

ps. best of luck and have fun

  16. So we renamed it the four seasons trials. it was sunny it snowed then sunny then warm then more snow..... gotta love michigan... or so they say.

on a positive note we had a cool new novice rider and his brother (i think). they showed up in the smagical van!!! WTF im thinking.... well as it turns out its Phils inlaws. Royalty in our little world. Then Phil, the Mrs and her family came and checked out the event. very very cool to have a Smage show up at a local event.

Welp it was a struggle but thats where Bent fenders excels in bad weather.... Its on to Florida when Fanticmatze shows up on wensday. Then a week of me being a hippy in the gulf while she is scared of sharks and such.

    see you all out there!!!
