  1. have checked the 2005 threads on the above . my 2008 bike is no different. can you tell me if the 315 master cylinder is still the way to go? i assume my bike is fitted with a standard m/c as it is a mirror of the brake cylinder. its driving me nut's in tight turns with reverse camber as its almost impossible to apply power. just too on and off. many thanks in advance.
  2. bad news and good news on the suspesion front. only checked the front end settings and they were as per your suggustion jimmy. good news is, i dropped the front tyre pressure and rolled the bars back by by about an inch thus making it easier to get my weight over the back end . this and a little more familiarity with the bike seems to have solved the problem. however life is never that simple. all my attention is now focused on my on and off switch that they call a clutch. it never ends does it ? thanks again for all the info. i'm of to dredge the the threads of the 315 master cylinders, mitani clutch systems and something involving a grinder. now where's that beer?
  3. just returned from holiday tonight so wont be out out on bike untill the weekend at best. look forward to letting you know how it goes. cheers
  4. great info guys thanks again. jimmy your info on suspension setup is exactly what i was looking for, this will give me a known benchmark to work from. i wont be out on the bike for at least a week but will let you know how i get on .
  5. thanks guys. conditions were as per our norm on a dry day (not that we have that many in scotland) i think your right on the front end being heavier. i was wondering if there was a change i could make to the suspension setup to give a lighter feel downhill. i suppose you cant have it bothways front end is great and light on climbs but i am just about of the back of it downhill. thanks
  6. help please. have just had my 1st serious outing on my 4rt after changing from a rev 3 beta. overall the bike was excellent loads of grunt as expected and would climb anything i pointed it at. the only issue i seemed to have was that the front end was far more difficult to get on line when going downhill and was prone to loosing grip on the front wheel. this was never an issue with my rev 3 . is there any obvious front end adustments that should be made based on this info or is this typical of the handling of the 4rt? i am 6 feet tall and 12.5 stone in weight. other than this the bike was awsome.
  7. if its gold anodized and i can bolt it to a 4rt i will by it. oh dear i am already listing the possible gold anodized replies in my head.
  8. dont know the dudes name but commentator on eurosport2 17 mins into this years final in madrid quoted 11k when fujegas was clearing burn section. so am gettin 1 ( 4rt that is you can keep the shock)
  9. bou's bike will be whatever he wants it to be . rear shock is worth 11k. nuff said.
  10. hope this is obvious. other than paint and stickers what do you get for the extra grand?
  11. thanks guys. checked out previous threads and if more than 50% leave it on then thats good enough for me. looks like it's a suck it and see option. but defo not an ace rider at this time so will focus on not falling off and look at it at a later date. ta.
  12. i beleive there is a removable weight on the flywheel. i gather that when removed, the bike will become more responsive and fruity. whats your thoughts (2004 rev3 250) ta.
