  1. Hello jimg As 4 stroke says the wheels are Honda the hubs are TL250 which is not widely known, so I would start there, seem to see a fair bit of TL250 parts on e bay being sold in the USA, I have seen a replacement carburettor on the TwinShock Shop web site http://www.thetwinshockshop.co.uk/parts.php along with other Seeley parts. Any way welcome to the small and exclusive Seeley Club
  2. This is the brake plate on my seeley, it might give you a bit more idea as to what your looking for.
  3. I have an early production Seeley 200 (frame # 1011) and the previous owner has misplaced a couple parts that I don't foresee him finding, so I need to find replacements. I have exhausted my search efforts on the web, so I hope I find better luck with this post. I need a front backing plate and front axle. I was told a MT125 Elsinore backing plate (1973-1976) would fit, but it does not. I assume I could fit an entirely different ft. rim with larger brakes, but I would like to keep as original as possible. Also, no carburetor and air boot on the bike...my only option may be to fit a similar carburetor, which may be of best option or interest anyway. I assume the front tire assembly/backing plate were common on other bikes of this era, but I rather not keep guessing and making incorrect and costly ebay purchases. For the carburetor, I know there are several options, but any insight as to which carb (make and model/part number) anyone has had success with (along with jet sizes) would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Has anyone tried a TLR carb on a Seeley? Been having the usual problems with the original, erratic tickover and lack of adjustment.
  5. Edited after feedback from johnw: One production run had white mudguards - see Pages 218 & 219 of "Colin Seeley...and the rest". It appears from the photos in this book that the front mudguard did not have an integral mud flap (neither did the VF mudguards). If you trim off the mudflap of a Gonelli guard and reverse it (so that what is then the front is more pointed) I believe you have something close to the original. I have no idea who the manufacturer of the white mudguards was/is. Another production run batch had Black "VF" mudguards. Incidentally, on Page 218 there are pictures of the Works RTL 240 which looks an absolute beast; seemingly a Seeley TL200E with what looks like the barrel and head of a 500!
  6. The original guards would have been black made by VF (Vacuum Formers) Hard to find now but copies have been made over the years. Somtimes pop up on ebay. I always thought they looked better with white! My Seeley has 14 inch rear shocks, not sure if that is correct but work fine. Yours looks ok in the pic's. Your exhaust header looks more like TLR than Seeley. Great little bikes.
  7. Could anybody please give me a bit of advice as to what mudguards this would have come with and what would be the closest style of replacement available today, also what would the correct length of the rear shocks have been? Any help and advice will be most welcome.
  8. Hello all. My final drive shaft has a fair bit of wear to the splines, before I get the TIG set out, is this shaft common to any other engines? XL185 etc Thanks for taking a look at my post. Mark
  9. Hi I have a seeley 200 Have rebuilt the motor re ore etc all easy Phone me on 01229860292 and will talk you through it Yours Andrew Ps don't E mail me

    Seeley Rs200Te

Can anyone help with information on mods to this engine? I have one to overhaul and would like to know if it can be bored out above the standard oversize. Also I have been told that a cam from either a quad or a XL/XR 200 will improve performance. Where would I source engine parts for this engine? Any information would be appreciated.
  11. Here is the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Seeley-TL200E-Trials-/291193357663?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item43cc7a055f
  12. Hi everyone can someone possibly help out, I own the Honda Seeley in the picture but I'm trying to get a copy both myself and Mannix Devlin can't make out the date of publication can you help out?
  13. why do you want to change timing? If it is the same as TLR there is no adjustment. it is pre set. TLTEL Sorry I was thinking Reflex. Not sure about the Seeley.
  14. So the bike looks when it comes out of the factory.... [/url] The engine ist the same as on the RS200T and the seeley, I heard only 300 will be build by RSC, anyone here knows more ?
  15. Hello, Is there anybody that can explain me how to adust timing ignition on the Seeley... There is no "F" mark on the ignition plate ; so i'm a bit lost. Many thanks in advance
  16. I am trying to locate a kickstart stop for my TL200 Seeley , can anyone lend me their stop so I can fabricate a new one, I will return next day registered delivery. Also I'm looking for a spring clip for the fork leg that keeps the seals in. cheers all :hyper:

    Honda Seeley Tl200

hi men would anyone know what kick start fits the seeley also the best way to strengthen the head stock as it has a crack in the box section also what is the colour code for honda red on this bike thanks
  18. Hello macdee, Welcome to the Seeley owners club Honda part number for the swinging arm bushes 52147-028-300 its not easy getting the old ones out you may need to series drill out the rubber to release the inner bush and then use a hacksaw blade to cut through the outer casing to release the tension this will allow you to pull it out easily. Most engineering shops can produce a spindle in stainless with an 8mm internal thread to allow you retain it in place. ps I have posted a link to e bay on the other Seeley threads re an exhaust.

    Honda Seeley Tl200

Bushes and spindle may need to be made up, if you can get dimensions it shouldn't be expensive, Mud guards crop up on ebay but you may as well use pattern parts again on ebay, exhausts are not available, but Wes can be adapted, there is someone making a pipe for Seeley yet again they sometimes list on ebay,. If you struggle with the spindle and bushes and get dimensions pm me I may be able to point you to someone to sort them.
  20. hi men i have a honda seeley in the garage thats needs a little help i need the bushes and pin for the swinging arm mud guards exhaust maybe the kick start i would also like info on the bike manuals etc all help would be appreciated thanks
