I was talking to a couple of US-based acquaintances on IRC a while ago (read: "internet saddo talking to other saddos") and they'd never heard of trials. Since we're all members of a site called MetaFilter (a kind of community blog thing), I said I'd gather together a few interesting links and post a message on there as kind of an "intro to trials". I did this and got a few replies the best of which was: "I call Trials physics porn - I love to watch the crazy rockhoppers."

I liked the description "physics porn" - kinda like the Sherco "play with gravity" (only better!) Any other good summary descriptions of trials you've heard?
