Decals getting a little tatty on the bike after 8 months of abuse so I am getting a new set in the new year. Was'nt looking forward to getting all the old ones off as they are stuck like **** to a blanket but came across ABRO paint remover in a spray can.

Simply spray abit on the decal, leave it for 5-10 mins and even the most stuburn sticker/decal will just wipe off, amazing stuff. Does nt seem to have effected the metal or plastic underneath although I have cleaned the areas after quite well incase, saved loads of time.

Make sure its used outside though as the fumes are bad and if you squirt it in your eyes by mistake its gonna smart abit.

Are you goin to polish the frame loads to a mirror finish now there are no stickers on it

Doesn't that take bloody ages though? scratches the metal and plastic even if your carefull, stuff I used today made the job real easy

i use expanading foam cleaner thats in a spray can. its acetone based and works like you say probably similair stuff. Also makes that clear laquer on the levers go soft if you leave your leavers in it.

I'd never want to ride my bike again if I replaced the stickers. I'd be too worried about scratching the new ones!

- be so much easier to get him straight away

y not just peel the sticker off and use a bit of petrol on an old rag and rub the sticky stuff left until it comes off

Heat the decals with a hair dryer then remove easly, use white spitit to remove any left over glue... Best way, works a treat.

I use hair dryer and it works perfect every time stops them coming off in little bits!

I bought one of those 'TwinAir' filter cleaning kits the other day and it came with a tin of 'Contact Cleaner'. Brilliant stuff, shifts chain wax, glue and other sticky stuff
