March 8, 200719 yr they don't come with an ohlins shock and the magnesium crankcases are the same on a standard bike but there painted gold ( thats what haven told us), the swing arm is differnt though. the only thing differnt that i would want on a standard one is the aluminium forks
March 8, 200719 yr My bad! The 06 did though didn't it? Aren't the alluminium forks the same as the 250 ones? So they are for heavier/harder riders,so they have a harder spring rate and that? Are you going to buy one NYL?
March 9, 200719 yr Author i was just Wondering Because hopefully im gettin a brand new bike next year and was seeing how many people thought it was worth the extra over the standerd 1 hopefully there still do 1 next year and i hope they go back to the ohlins shock lot better in my opinion. Dose any 1 know if there are any performance upgrades?
March 9, 200719 yr Will have to wait till tomorrow and then i'll tell you sean . In my opinion the alu forks have a better action and feel easier to use.
March 9, 200719 yr I have ridden my mates 06 racing and they feel lush! I find I can really tell the difference with the ohlins shock and lighter swing arm! I was told they had a higher compression head and electric upgrade to allow them to rev-harder but this just may have been rumours and I'm not sure on this! Hope tomorow goes well NYL!
March 22, 200719 yr NYL has been working at The ones who cannot be named this week on work experience. He went to pick up the bike from Shirty's and is currently PDI'ing it and fitting the various bits he has bought ready. (Renthal Fat Bars and clamps, coloured hydraulic lids etc).
