October 21, 200421 yr I'm after a good Trials jacket for the winter months, doing a few road trials so it's got to be quite warm and longer in the body than say a paddock type Jacket. What are the Hebo Jackets like? any ideas? Edited October 21, 200421 yr by Marky G
October 22, 200421 yr Forget trials gear, buy mountain bikeing gear, its much better. Most if not all of the jackets have a long back too.

October 22, 200421 yr While I agree the MTB stuff is nice, I think you will find it's not as heavy as the Hebo or other trials specific ones. The MTB ones tend to be light shells with no lining, which is not a bad thing if that's what you are looking for. You will need to layer under them for road work on a trials bike though. Have a close look and decide if it will be warm enough for you. As for your original question Marky G, I have the older style Hebo trials jacket (the GasGas one) and find it very good for warmth. When done up, there are no drafts and the liner is sufficient for most conditions. Heck I even wear mine ice racing in -20C temps, with only a light sweater under it. With the removable liner and removable sleeves it gives you a great range of uses. Moderately waterproof, although not entirely. I guess you'd say, "water resistant".

October 25, 200421 yr The Scott enduro Jackets are well worth considering. Alan Wright sells them and will no doubt be at one of the shows. I bought mine for the Scottish last year, 6 days of continuous, pulverising rain, and I was always dry underneath - apart from the tears running down my neck anyway.... There is a Centre champs trial this weekend (CWAC) I think but not sure of the quality, so open to suggestions maybe. I had a look at wiggle.co.uk. My problem is that XXL on there is 46 inch chest, which leaves me a couple or 4 inches short. You may have to have to have the implants removed as well mate My apologies if they're not implants.
