Seems his bars need a bit more foreward, and he missed the better pary of his kicker rock, will never make the 2M splatter on that lump! :guinness:

Philistine!

Dave was a brilliant rider as well as a nice guy who loved his trials riding, he sadly died at a young age. The Dave Rowland Trophy Trial is of course named after him.

That's a great picture thanks for sharing

What year was this picture taken ?

Cheers,

Ed

Is this the bike that Davy Mc Bride rode in the Scottish Pre 65.

In 1977 i stayed at the Alt Nan Ross hotel at Onich while riding the Scottish. The owner of the hotel had Daves Bantam in his garage. I believe he eventually sold it back to the family. Bet BJ knows for sure...

Hi Guy's.

I believe this is the bike that is back in the Mc Bride family and was used in the recent Scottish Pre 65. I have asked Pat Slinn to let me know if he knows any history about the bike while it was still at BSA. He or I will let you know. Will try and find out when the shot was taken, I recon 1966 or 7.

Yes it was (with the 'E' knocked off)

Scott Rowland also rode it many years ago in Kinlochleven.
