shakennstirred
Tbh on mine once the points was set up correctly i never had a problem with them, the engine is just weak on low end throttle range, if this electronic ignition can race the engine up like the fantic engine does i can see the 242 becoming abit more popular. Until the points wear. I meant with this new setup, once set, its set for life, as it has no touching parts to wear out, only a failure of a component would require anything being changed. perce
Not 100% sure what the forks are from on this bike but they don't look like original fitment on a 242.
sooty
Hi, Pearce, your right, never did look at them, they look like older 247 ones, well spotted...
sooty
Update on the CDI install: bike has been running great, only one fault, pickup failed, called Julian and was sent a replacement without any problems, fitted and no issues since.. Also have fitted a new Mikuni card from in motion, running even better now.....
swmtf3
Sooty, You wouldn't have a copy of the fitting instructions for the rmlightening ignition in English by any chance? Cheers Paul
