Correct Oil

Featured Replies

Had my TXT Pro 250 now for 5 months and been out a lot and the trials bug has got me, i'm hooked :hyper:

Anyway i have had it serviced not long after buying the bike as i needed a guy to set up the carb for me. I am now going to change the oil myself but i have just been to a bike shop to buy oil and they have sold me Motul 4T 10w40, they assure me this is fine for my bike but i aint so sure, any help out there? I am not going to open the oil in case i have to get a refund, any advice would be appreciated

I've been told by that 5w30 car engine oil is the best, less drag on the clucth and what not.. although im only new to trials myself so dont take my word for it

Do a search on this forum. I think you will find that most GasGas riders prefer ATF oil... Or else a light gear oil like Elf HTX 740 or GRO Gear Extreme 75W

I use the Castrol ATF usualy but any ATF Dex II or Dex III

I'm another one for ATF Dex III, I've never used anything else.

Brand name not so important its the spec Dex III to look for.

Castrol, Comma, Carlube, Halfords own, etc
