February 4, 201412 yr Hi John ! Depends who you talk to ! Some swear by Fat bars some prefer braced bars. As far as fashion goes if you look at two bikes of the same model, one with Fat bars and one with braced bars which one will look more pleasing or modern to the eye ?? Have you sorted another bike yet ? L.

February 4, 201412 yr I've got crossbrace bars on my 4RT and fat bars on my gasser, don't feel any difference
February 5, 201412 yr Fat bars as you will have more teeth left should you ever stop abruptly for example when a ditch crossing goes wrong. Also you can strap a small gps nicely on the cushion over the clamps.
February 5, 201412 yr You could always go the best of both worlds and get Renthals Twin Walls. They are a fatbar with a cross brace. Good bend and a VERY strong bar.
