Fantic Value?

Featured Replies

Afternoon all.

Been offered a fantic 309, very clean, very straight, very original with all lights present and working. What would you good people value it at?

Also, was this model a good bike? Ta

Its worth what people will pay , check past ebay sales ( seems too be the market value nowadays ) , aircooled mono class will be the boom soon , so buy now if its cheap ...........

Could be right about air cooled monos picking up in value over the next couple of years, and if this is a good one (hard to say without photos but the fact that it still has lights attached suggests it may be) it could be worth a punt at around £800 to 1000. Then again a TY 250 mono could be an easier bike to get on with, being the clubman's favourite of the time, and there are lots around.

I bought a 309 1.5 years ago and have been playing with it since then. It rides fine, plenty of power. Compared to my TR34 stripey it feels a bit heavy up front but not excessively. I prefer the TR34 but the Fantic is fine.

Man,I second that, hope to eventually make mine that nice, but she always seems to get put on the back burner....

It may feel front heavy compared to other old bikes but I can manage to ride it as well as a modern bike.

Mine is a bit noisy but piston clearance is right on spec, hope to investigate over this winter.

"Plenty of power"is a understatement of mine, was a brute until I put a undersized Oko on it,now much more managable,But I intend to go back to hot rod power as soon as I go through her ;-)
