January 29, 201610 yr Well i fired it up tonight for the first time. New bottom end top end bearings new piston standard bore. Theres a frickin top end rattle........... didnt do it before.... could it be the £40 piston...?
January 29, 201610 yr Most likely,mind you Yams do rattle,that dirty old heap in the picture is built out of 3 engines,only new rings. Rattles like hell,but its the best TY250motor I've ever ridden,plenty of grunt,but screams as well.

February 11, 201610 yr Yea ! Ridded that rattle.... had it rebored by SEP with a 2 thou clearance on a yz250 wiseco piston. Sounds lovely !! All done ready for its first day out !
