September 25, 201510 yr Can anyone comment on how hard the 300 4t is to start relative to a 300 2t? I ask for a couple reasons: - I have a problem with my right leg from an old injury, and kicking my current Sherco 300 2t all day at a trial is too much - I'm considering going back to a Beta... but whether it'll be a 2t or 4t I'm undecided. I never minded the left side kicker on the 2t, which would alleviate my leg issue, but obviously the 4t has the right side kicker. So if it requires the same effort, it's kind of out of the question.
September 25, 201510 yr Hi Heffergm - I find the Beta Evo 4T really easy to kick over, and they start usually first or second kick, hot or cold.
September 25, 201510 yr Really, the Beta 4T is probably the easiest trials bike to start. I've seen someone start one with their hand.

September 25, 201510 yr If starting is the problem buy a 250. I`ve recently went round and round with a gentleman that was a long time rider (older) with a knee replacement. Smaller is better.
September 26, 201510 yr Would be interested in a 4T Beta too the new model is fitted with a injection system no carb anymore, thus starting should be easier but furthermost no issues while riding in the mountains. I'am more an old style rider and too "just" have old bikes, but a 4T Beta Mmmmh very nice. The older 250 and 300 4T that I have tried were both easy to start, much easier then Bultacos or SWM.
September 26, 201510 yr Yes it is! Even so they will produce a factory model. I was already interested in 2015 but changed my mind towards another twinshock but this year I'am very much in the demand modus.

September 27, 201510 yr Author Yeah, I don't see anything about FI either. In any case, another question: anyone know if the clutch on the 250/300 4t has the same reversible spring retainers that the 300 2t does? If not, how's the lever effort?
September 27, 201510 yr There is the statement that all Beta 4stroke models get the injection system Beta had already developed mounted to one Enduro model in 2015 due to better performance and the Euro4 regulations ... Anyway will ask my Importer / dealer here.
September 27, 201510 yr Author Yeah, they're just talking about the enduro bikes. I don't think you'll see them put the same system on a trials bike anytime soon.
