I would strongly suggest to anyone who is in the market for

a new 125 to try the 06 Beta before rushing out & buying a

new Gasser. The 06 bike is vastly different from the

last 3 attempts from Beta, which frankly were poor.

The new Beta is still very strong on the bottom end, unlike

a Gasser, but now revs much cleaner & stronger at the top end.

They still don't rev like a Gasser, but unless you are at National

or international standard then it won't make a differance to

your results.

And then there's the build quality issue, Frankly Gassers are made of

tissue paper & eggs! So if you are'nt a dab hand with the spanners,

don't even go there!

bit arsh but i see your point. we were thinking of getting a gasser every 6 months. and ive ridden a new beta a couple of trials ago and to be honest i couldnt see it doing what i wanted it to do but it did quite a few large steps.

still cant learn to ride them propoly as i can't get to grips with there width.

sticking with a gasser as it has a vasterpower range and the amount of power is also considerably greater in comparison to the beta but thanks for your advice any way.

cheers :ph34r::D

My 12 yearold has beat the crap out of an 03 125 Pro for over 2 years with nothing but regular maintanence. And believe me that bike has hit the ground a few times.

There are a few wrinkels in the tissue paper and the shell hasn't cracked!

Would I buy another one? You Bet, matter of fact getting him a new one in the spring!

There is a total lack of tuning information available over here. I going to regear my sons bike right away.

On Ross Danby's site, (I have just built and opening soon), we are trying something new  There is a forum where you can talk to Ross and a seperate forum where you can talk to his Dad,(Mick) and ask questions how his '06 125 Gasser is tuned amongst other things. So watch this space http://www.rossdanby.net
