Almost A First Go At Trials

Featured Replies

Hi all I have had my first trials bike since April and has always been aiming for an introduction to trials day on the 27th to be my first proper ride unfortunately this has been postponed a week due to being waterlogged I was really looking Forward to it so fingers crossed for best week any pointers for a beginner going to their first event

My advice for your first trial is ask and watch other riders , keep an eye on what lines they take

You'll probably drop most marks on going the wrong way ( I still do )

And most of all have fun and enjoy

Plenty of water and food, riding gear that'll keep the weather out, spare gloves, complete change of clothing to travel home in,Make sure bike is prepared properly and reliable, tools to allow simple repairs to be carried out.Dont expect too much of yourself, its harder and more physically demanding than it appears and brilliant fun .Stay with it

If your float valve is good it shouldn't need turning off....
