Beta Sincro Clutch spring settings...

Featured Replies

Hi,

Delighted with my new 250 Sincro but the factory website says there are three variables for the clutch spring tension but no info on how to change them.

Has anybody tried it out yet before I take the clutch cover off?

Thanks in advance!

It looks like the belleville spring support "ring" (#15) sould be offered in different thicknesses, similar to what TRS does. They only list one so far.

I believe it is like the Beta enduro clutch.... There are three positions for #17 to adjust preload on the spring.

Makes sense - great design.

Hi Stevec , That explains why i might be having trouble with the clutch on my factory sincro , as the bike gets warmer during a trial im'e having to adjust the clutch on the lever more than enough which isn't good ! At first i thought it was the oil clutch / g-box so changed it to putoline ! also bled the clutch to insure no air was present . Plus the clutch is VERY light on operation and doesen't clear well making neutral a pig to find ..So on the back off what you are saying about the pre-load washer in the pic , the clutch may require more pre-load ? is it a matter of spinning the pre-load washer to increase its thickness ?

Any information would be much appreciated on this one . Rich
