Tucker Ranch Oldar Rules the Rockies By Tim Holm Cotopaxi, Colorado, May 26 , 27, 2007 Factory Sherco rider, Andrew Oldar, took the points lead with strong performances at rounds one and two of the first ever 125cc US National Trials Series held high up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. On Saturday, round one of the new 10 round series, Oldar rode a smart, consistent trial to finish second overall to the more flamboyant, some would say wild, riding style of Team Gas Gas rider Colton Haaker. Team Beta up and comer, Ron Commo, rounded out the podium with a solid third overall performance. These three riders separated themselves by over 20 points from the rest …

Group, Can someone tell me why AHRMA has the rule that you can not come to a dead stop in the middle of a section? Doesn't matter if you keep you feet on the pegs, it's still a 5. If there is a good reason for it, fine, if not how about if we submit a "rules change request". Comments? Alan

Hold on everyone. The result guy is stuck in the middle of somewhere. A propane truck turned over and he has been sitting in traffic all night. The reuslts will be up as soon as possible. Normally the results are up right away year after year. A couple of times they have had short delays. The cell and wireless connection is no good where he has been sitting all night. I dont know all of the details but this all I have.

Im just wonderering i havent been around too long and we just entered in our first national (pre-entry $170) We are waiting on ex-ray results next tuesday but appears homer will have his left wrist in a cast and we will miss. While $170 is nothing compared to doctor bills. if the preentry was say 2 weeks or not at all we wouldnt be out $170 is it that important to know in advance the number of riders . Would we have more entries if the prentry wasnt so far in advance . A couple of riders from my area didnt think they could get off work so they didnt preenter for colorado they found out 2 weeks ago they could make it They went on a weekend street bike trip dont know if t…

My 8 year old son Ty got to do what many of us have been wanting to do for years, he got to ride his motorcycle in the school playground! He had been telling us that he wanted to do a Demo at school for a while and we thought they would never go for it, but one day my wife mentioned it to the Principal and she thought it was a great idea! I wasn't sure how it would go. Would the kids get trials? Could an 8 year old do anything to impress them? Where they going to think "this is stupid"? Well as soon as he started the bike the kids where "oohing & aahhing" so I knew it would go pretty well. He did some balancing Then he rode over some obstacles and then…

Is there anywhere that Trials are listed on a state by state basis. I'm a newby and I'm trying to find some novice events to enter. Hopefully somewhere in North Carolina. I see a lot of listings but they are listed by event name not location. Thanks in advance, new TY 350 owner Mike

Over the last few years, a few of us 'across the pond' have been following the daily coverage of the Scottish Six Day Trials which is coming up next week. With the non-stop action, never seeing the same section twice and odd penalty scoring system, keeping track of the event, the riders and where they are standing at any given moment is hectic. I always download the daily score sheet to see how everyone has done. It usually takes me twenty or thirty minutes to look over the entire daily scorecard to find out who did what and where. Dennis Sweeten and John Isherwood have managed to score rides, enabling some of us to keep track of the American contingent. (I know Ishy is…

  15. Cliff Tucker, the heart and soul of the Rocky Mountain Trials Assocation and a legend in the US motorcycle trials community, died of heart attack yesterday at his ranch in Cotopaxi, Colorado, site of the upcoming NATC Rounds 1 & 2. I interviewed Cliff in late March for show #4 of our podcast, On The Pegs. I spoke with Monte Tucker, one of Cliff's sons, earlier tonight. Group, Well it was typical Trials weather. Rained hard until about 2 hours before the start then got really hot during the Trial. Sections seemed fair, lot of different layouts and challenges. I don't think anyone got better than a 5 on number 3. It had a steep up hill, that with the rain, had turned to several inch deep mud. There were several places where we had to cross or turn in the Crosscountry Trails (the Crosscountry had been held just prior to our event) and these were very tricky, the mud was as slick as frog snot. Biggest problem was how tired everyone got from fighting the wet conditions. My Bantam ran very well for most of the event. Did a plug in a…
