Hi Gang, have been quite a bit here as of late, we have been tremendously busy in all areas of my life, and just have not taken the time to write and let others know what is going on. But I realize as I am speaking to folks here at the YN camp how important these communications are. For those of you that are not here too meet face to face, I cannot tell you enough how much you are missing. The YN truly brings out the things that are the best in Trials too me. We came in Sunday afternoon and have just been going a mile a minute since then. Sunday afternoon we had the ice cream social get together, I got to meet uncle Charlie and son Zach finally, saw the Commo's the …

Hey all, wonderful time at the world round in Duluth. If you missed it, too bad on you, but there will be opportunities to see highlights. I spent the weekend with the Speed crew helping them get good footage for the 2-wheel Tuesday show on Speed Channel. It will air on Tuesday, June 15 (week from today), 8PM EDT and reair at midnight and again the following morning. They got a lot of great footage and interviews, and I think we'll get extensive coverage of trials on that show. But also note there will be trials coverage on TONIGHT (June 8), not from Duluth but from a demo we (TTC) did for a bunch of kids at an elementary school. It was lots of fun, so check it out…

Don't remember if I posted this, but I've re-started the mctrials e-group. Eric lost all his data during a virus storm and passed the duty on. I hope I can keep it going half as well as he did. this e-group is dedicated to North America trials riders for correspondence on issues of national and local trials eventsa/bikes/politics etc. To subscribe go to. http://www.micapeak.com/lists/mctrials Lots of folks on already and there are no archives. Quoting Jake Miller "Dougie was also looking to show his wallet daylight, but with no great savings to be had, he will wait until he returns to the UK to buy a new Apple Mac computer" Jake's a bloomin' Apple MAC nut.....and I couldn't begin to list the number of trials folks he's sold the Apple MAC brand. I tried emailing Shan about this, but it bounced. Hopefully he reads this! For those who are not aware, I supplied a few photos of Dennis Sweeten and Jarvis in the SSDT for Trials Competition. Shan said he'd send me a copy so I could see my work in print. Well, it arrived yesterday. I don't know what I was expecting, but it certainly wasn't something as well put together and professional as turned up. Good and lengthy write-up's of events and plenty photos. Similar in layout to our Trials and Motocross News, but obviously without the MX part! You guys are lucky to have a dedicated, quality publication for the sport. Thanks Shan!

My Team Full Monty [idaho sydicate] member, MikeOD, made an excellent point in another post and I want to expand on it. We have a number of American riders entering the World round this weekend and they deserve much more respect and encouragement than I think a lot of you realize. I'm a freaking club level rider and not a very good one at that but the encouragement and support I got from the crowd at El Trial was absolutely one of the most inspiring things I've ever felt. It was so incredible that I chose to take a line on the second loop that a couple of the other riders who are light years ahead of me wouldn't [of course my own lack of fear plays a detrimental part i…

29 December 2003 This is a diary to share what goes on with the hosting of an event. It may be silly to some, stupid to some, and interesting, entertaining or comical to others. Probably a little bit of each to most readers. My thoughts with doing this are that it should provide some insights for others that are potentially looking at being promoters. I also hope that it will let some of the more seasoned promoters see the mistakes I am about to make, and hopefully lend a kind bit of advice. The third goal would be that hopefully some of the folks that just ride, and never are the promoter, will read along and appreciate what the folks putting these things on go thr…

Sorry about not posting in the classifieds, but I can't get it to work. When I get the 7's, I'll have some size 6 Gearnes for sale or trade. Anybody try "offroad" boots. O'Neal has some with grippy soles that run about $120 new. Contact me off list: cffrey@mindspring.com

First of all a huge thanks to MONTESA and GAS GAS for delivering riders for El Trial de Espana. Congratulations for putting on a great show for the all the people that made the trip! Of course we all understand the logistics and costs for sending a rider to El Trial this year was less than desirable and that's why were sure that the teams that did not send a rider and intend to compete in the TDN will more than happy to use the money they saved to support their riders themselves. After two days of El Trial competition: 1st place Chris Florin on Montesa 2nd place Geoff Aaron on Gas Gas 3rd place Cody Webb on Gas Gas

I will be hosting a demo for some special children here in the local area (Clarksville, TN) on Thursday, 17 June 04 at 9 Am. More information about Camp Rainbow can be found here. http://www.bikerswhocare.org/camp2003/index.htm I am looking for Other riders or workers willing to help and make this a success. Suggestions for obstacles, challenges, props. Ways of bringing the children "INTO" the show while in no way placing them in any danger, even if things go wrong. Trials Training Center has stepped up to the plate and at least one of their current champ riders will be there to support this effort! (Thank You!) I have an offer of a 16' trailer that will be donat…
