Hello, Can anyone help me? My Boyfriend has a 1988 Yamaha TY250 monoshock. I'm trying to buy him a new inner tube and tyre clamp for xmas. I think I've found the right inner tube here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360194110833&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT - Is this the right size? But I'm having more trouble with the tyre clamp, I spoke to a shop and he said I needed the size....but I don't know what size he needs and I don't want to ask him as I want to suprise him. Anyones help would be appreciated. Rachel

I have a lot of play in the swingarm bushes on my 349 Cota. Is there a conversion to needle roller bearings available/possible? Does the sleeve in the frame/pivot bolt wear, giving similar symptoms to shot bushes? Cheers

I'm currently building a 3TA for beginners trials, green lanes and LDT's I have fitted a 14t front sprocket and am looking for advice/ suppliers of a larger than standard rear sprocket. (Standard Primary drive ratio fitted) I need the bolt up brake drum too. I'm thinking around 54 to 60 rear teeth, am I on the right track here? Also, do we think I will need to fit rim locks to stop the rear tyre slipping (or is the 350 so 'soft' it won't slip at 4 psi ) ? Cheers

Hi there I am currently trying to get my Montesa Cota 349 on the road and I am looking for the frame number to find out how old it is. I have been intouch with sandiford and they have said it should be on the headstock but I cannot find it. I gave them the engine number and they say it is a MH349 but the tank says cota 349, prehaps the engine was changed? Any help much appriciated. Cheers, Nick

Does anyone know where abouts on the frame it is or if its on a plate that may have been knocked off? I know the frame has been re-sprayed at some point. Thank you in advance. Graham

Hi, this is my first post here. I currently have a Montesa 242 as the title says & I need to remove the clutch basket so I can modify the gear selector so it will keep the return spring on & stop iyt from slipping of & being stuck in gear. Is there a special tool to compress the clutch or do I have to be inventive in my approach. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers Col.

Hi This is my first time starting a topic but I've had problems finding bits and pieces for my montesa 349. I was told that the front light is like rocking horse doings to find but after a bit of trawling I've come up with a chap in spain who had a brand new new with also a multitude of other equipment for spanish twin shock trials bikes. He can be found at http://stores.ebay.es/The-Classic-Spanish-Bikes . He goes under the name of frankiemountain. He is very helpful and if you don't see the item your looking for contact him and ask. He'll bend over backwards to help. Well hope this is some good to you all and happy restorations to you.

I need to get a downpipe created for my Matchless G3, I currently use one of the SM out-of-the-box pipes but am looking to get a longer one with a bend to keep it tighter to the engine. Ideally stainless steel but not adverse to be of Titanium :-) Any recommendations as to who I could contact for this? Many thanks....

Anybody contemplating a trip to a Spanish or French twinshock/Pre 65 trial next year should really consider doing this two day trial based near Ripoll. Just over the French border an excellent weekend, riding brilliant natural sections, its a long way ( Is Woody home yet ... )but well worth it .. Wack it in your diary or look on Todo classic nearer the date.
